Set in 3100 AD, Merchants of Brooklyn: M.O.B. challenges gamers to plunge themselves in a futuristic world that confronts mankind's ancient past with its technological future as cloned Neanderthals walk the planet again. The simple but physically strong creatures find themselves with unexpected freedom, and as a Neanderthal themselves, gamers will need to battle their way from becoming extinct once more.
Multiplayer: ?
System requirements: Uses CryEngine2, so expect some high-end requirements.
Yeah sorry about the thread, some day I will have to create another one but I had severe problems with my previous one (Space Siege, probably edited it over thirty times and it still looks pretty bad.) so I haven't attempted anything.
As for the game I heard mention that it was episodic but aside from a few bugs and minor issues I've had no problems with it though I guess that's depending on how you see it.
Bugs so far is flickering objects or stuff that just disappear only to reappear later (Streaming issue?) and the console is full of little error notes once you "unlock" it (Con_Restricted 0 - Most commands are the same as in Crysis so tweaking and adjusting the game is very easy.)
Other issues would mainly be the performance which at the beginning of the game goes to between 70 and 80 only to fall to 15 a few scenes later and then keep going from low rates to high and back again for no apparent reason.
(Going to try renaming the EXE - Crysis.exe instead of Launcher.exe to see if Crossfire - and SLI presumably - works better along with other optimizations related to Crysis.exe from the display drivers or how to best explain it as the game does use CryEngine 2.)
Game reports 680 MB from within Steam but it's about 908 MB when you check the folder and it only uses one NCF file from which Steam reads those files and what else it's used for.
Haven't had time to play much though as I've been a bit busy but it seems like a decent FPS so far and the price was pretty low.
(Aside from a certain decision from Valve to price the Euro relatively to the US Dollar so 1 EU = 1 $ most of the time whereas 15 USD isn't really the same as 15.99 EU in reality.)
(Though it'll probably not matter once the economy totally crashes, then we'll all enjoy WW3 and it's aftermath instead of this, but that's just me being overly negative. )
EDIT: Unlike Crysis the game is 32-bit only but it does support DX10 and uses it by default under Vista if possible albeit forcing it to use DX9 can also be done with the -DX9 parameter.

In 3100 A.D., global warming has caused the sea level to rise and
engulf the streets of Brooklyn. The land is gone, but society
rebuilds the city on top of existing structures, connecting
buildings through a network of sky bridges. As the upper class
literally moves higher, law enforcement abandons the lower parts
of the city, and its less-affluent inhabitants. To meet the upper
city's demand for laborers, city leaders contract the Brooklyn
Institute of Technology(B.I.T.) to clone a new working class. At
the time, the B.I.T. Labs had made incredible advances in cloning;
Neanderthals were chosen as the main focus of the research based on
their physical resilience. The city's contract called for far more
Neanderthal clones than were required, causing the excess and
sub-standard Neo-Neanderthals to be discarded to the dregs of the
city. The well established mob entity known as the Merchants of
Brooklyn saw a lucrative opportunity here... use the bottom dwellers
for high stakes fights to the death. It became the new sport of
under-city kings.
In MERCHANTS OF BROOKLYN, You take the role of an elite Neanderthal
fighter with a taste for blood. Having had your arm unwillingly
detached from your body courtesy of a chainsaw, your new prototype
biomechanical arm transforms into different twisted and brutal
weaponry to aid you in the slaughter. Your goal: escape from the
under city and free your brethren to take over the upper utopian
empire to do with as you please.
* Built using Crytek's CryEngine 2ร game engine
* Biomechanical Arm enhances weapons in unique ways
* Destructible urban environments
* Truly unique comic book vs. reality art style
* Over-the-top dark humor and action
* Fully interactive, immersive environment

Established in 1999, we are possibly the oldest Italian-based
release group still in activity. We express a big THANK YOU to
all those friends who helped us in various forms throughout these
years! Don't forget to support the companies and to keep the
Scene about FUN. :-)
Fondato nel 1999, CPY e' probabilmente il piu' vecchio gruppo
release in Italia ancora in attivita'. Ringraziamo DI CUORE tutti
gli amici che ci hanno aiutati in ogni maniera in questi anni!
Ricordate di supportare le compagnie cinematografiche e di
software, e che la Scena dev'essere basata sul DIVERTIMENTO. :-)
Weapons and combat itself is pretty cool though, left mouse button for standard attacks and punches and the right button for heavier stuff, can also take objects and either hit people with them or charge and then throw them to make stuff explode, messy but fun.
Oh and lol at how these characters looks like kids or something.
(Pretty horrible screen actually, this cell-shading stuff doesn't work correctly for static images, looks better in motion and Crysis doesn't use AA together with that vegetation AA or what to call it, that soft blur stuff for those who remember it, so it's a bit "edgy" or "spiked" or "jagged" what else to call it as well.)
anyway, how drunk/dumb/whatever do you have to be to pass on an alpha version for retail? well, at least they admitted it - in contrast to the devs of stalker cs and gothic 3
YaY! Another game that will begin and never end, just like SiN Episodes
Wow, how clever of you to pick the one episodic series that failed.
How about you mention some of the successful ones, like Half-Life 2 Episodes, American McGee's Grimm, Penny Arcade Adventures, Watchmen: The End is Nigh (second chapter is coming soon), and all of the different episodic adventure series from Telltale Games (Bone, Sam & Max, Strongbad, Wallace & Gromit)?
And while I'm at it, how about the GTAIV episodes on Xbox 360 (there will be at least one more), the History Channel episodic games (Dogfights, Shootout, etc), Siren: Blood Curse on PS3, GameTap's Galactic Command: Echo Squad, Penumbra (the developers have called it episodic), the upcoming Halo Chronicles, and even StarCraft II?
It's completely unfair and ignorant of you to just automatically assume that an episodic series will die after the first installment, considering the track record of most other episodic games.
Don't try to sound so smart and smug, when the facts completely disagree with you.

Uh...you have a really strange idea of what kids look like.

The main reason I called those "kids" is due to how short and "anime" like they were, really looked like children from what I saw.
Anyway it seems that person was banned for some reason so perhaps a explanation won't be useful but I'll provide the updated files when I can and then you can all play the final version with the loader.
thanx a lot JB, i can't find the game yet tho but i assume it will pop up soon on certain places . i'm curious about this game because of the engine by which it's made of and if my 8800 gts can handle it.
