When I try to log in it says that I cannot log in saying that error code above. I tried to find some info on it but no luck.
I installed win7 on one disk and it messed up my Xp boot loader, so I repaired windows, and now it works. But it removed sp3, so I had to install it again. I did that and my messenger wouldn't work. So I removed it, and reinstall it, and now the messenger shows but says that error code. How can I fix it?

I had this problem before. It has to do with certain registry error. Uninstall Windows Live. Use CCleaner, do a Registry scan and clean. Reinstall Windows Live. If that doesn't work, uninstall MSInstaller and reinstalling it.

will try. thnx!
EDIT:
I've cleaned anything I've found on messenger, with cc and uninstalled, hell I've manually deleted the folder and searched through registry, but when I try to install with wlsetup-custom from their site, it says I already have it installed?!? How can I uninstal MSInstaller?

You haven't uninstall everything from Windows Live, try using Windows Install Clean Up and ZapMessenger.

Is your Windows theme back to classic theme? Have you try going in System Properties/Advance/Performance Setting and checked all the options? There's an an option that allow visual styles. How did you end up messing up the windows theme?

If you are not reformatting you HD and just reinstalling XP, just store your important files in a folder that's not in your Windows directory. Reinstalling or repairing XP only reinstall Windows files and create new user files. You still keep your important files.

btw not only my windows is in classic, it won't let me change it + my sound doesn't work, dt also... Guess messing up with registry isn't a good idea :/
