The mouth and nose area appears too rough and unfeminine, but good job on the lighting.

Was gunna say the the same. The pic needs more femininity imo. But hey, I'm not art critic and could never draw something like that.
I stick to blueprint kinda drawings lol

ouch onscreen tablet pricey mucho lol, git im just using s standard a5 intuos, does the job pen has 2 buttons eraser etc... Ive used it a while and dont normaly have alot of issues with cramped hand.
I think its possibly cause ive started doing more practice with digital paintings, and cause I am concentrating so hard of late learning from one screen to the next and so forth, its taking its toll hehe. As you say though im sure it will settle after a while..
Regarding the painting, so far its free hand with a grid for reference no tracing over for sketch.. Im not so worried about if they look like a zulu woman as some seem to think lol, or whatever, its about using techniques and the tools to refine and get better at what needs to be done..
The eyes will be next it seems, with a grey colour wash out of the whole iris pupil and re-done at a fair zoom range, with added details for specs on the iris, then tear ducts defining and a general smoothing of the shades around the eye and the eyball itself for more depth..

"/edit: and about your painting: it's not bad and i don't care about femininity (after all, it's art) - but you should work on your perspective drawing skills, some parts look quite distorted (the whole mouth/nose/chin area looks somehow bent upward right)"
yes i see what you mean, but that is how the pose is its grid line for grid line sketched I dont think it could change alot, it maybe the whole shading illusion as well making it look a bit jutting out like..
The chin line you would of thought should go up and right at a 45 degree angle or so to go with the lines of the cheeks etc, but I guess shes odd boned.. But as you say its allowed to be different, especially as its only been one rough sketch, one flat shading of face and hair for spotting where shadows will be, and rough eyes..
Not even started detailing or skin brushes yet etc etc.. Its all able to change over time thats what I like about seeing things like that come together..

may I ask why ?
Pretty disturbing if you all think that everywoman out there is supposed to look like a kate moss right?
Anyway, its how she looks perse' she is not a overly attractive stunning looking person lol..I highly sudgest checking out some african women that seem to have such male features..
Heck even woopy goldberg looks like a man..
p.s i also think jessica parker looks worse than the horse |
A - Kate Moss isnt all that attractive
B - Femininity has nothing to do with breasts or ass or whatever. Has to do with the womans face.
Would you date a woman who has the body of a goddess and a manish face?
I sure as hell wouldn't
A woman's face is the most important part of her body. Then comes her hair. Then the rest.

A. Kate Moss is gorgeous
B. Whoopi Goldberg looks like a man!? Don't know, maybe because I used to love her movies as a kid, but she looks pretty to me for a 50 y/o woman.

We're talking young women bro, not granny's lol
And I don't think Kate Moss is all that hot. Don't get me wrong, I'd fuck her. But she's not the next best thing since sliced bread as everyone makes her out to be ya know?

Yeah, man, I know, but I have respect for women who are old and still look good, and IMO Goldberg looks good for her age.

gee chill lol, kate moss was just plucked out the air, shes prety avg for a good looking type of girl with no makeup on etc agreed but it was just an example due to the fact she is classed in the model bracket..
on this though syco
"A woman's face is the most important part of her body. Then comes her hair. Then the rest."
Id think the womans soul etc and how she comes across to others in life is the most important part of her body eh... and that is part of her body so dont go picking holes at that
Ill ask you this, what do you like most about your new found woman? I know you have reveled*?* in her alot lately so are you going to tell me you love her because of her looks
