Anyone know what other games published allow you to control your army/troops/platoon from a in-close indvidual characters point of view rather than a units?
I also find that this method of playing is far superior tactically than anyone other type of rts control I've seen, allowing the player to sniff out hidden routes whereby flanking is possible.
I truly like this style of control/view so if anyone knows of a title which has similar play I'd appreciate knowing.
It doesn't have to be just sf, it could be military or historic.

There's the Battlezone games. Both are great; BZ2 has a bit more features gameplay-wise and 'newer' graphics, while BZ1 has a better story/campaign(imo) and a better atmosphere. Classics to be sure.

Well, you can check the game directly comparable, EndWar, but it's not very good. I'd recommend Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War 2, Men of War and Codename Panzers: Cold War. They all differ from Stormrise, but I think you'll like them.

+1 to sacrifice. may be an old game, but the dynamic gameplay is still awesome.
another 2 quite good ones are hostile waters and battlestations midway, kinda like battlezone, just navy focused
