Quote: | In 1993, Dan Linton, owner of a hugely successful BBS called Software Creations, visited Texas and made his way to id Software. This is the footage he recorded one night in November 1993.
Shown are several of id's employees at the time: Jay Wilbur, Shawn Green, John Romero, Dave Taylor, Sandy Petersen and Adrian Carmack, Bobby Prince was visiting to finish the music and create the sound effects.
This video has 21 minutes of me playing DOOM before the sound effects were put in as well as some early deathmatching with Shawn Green. |

This. (haha, nice one, dude)
OnLive won't be putting anyone out of business (aside from themselves), so don't worry about that.

Why not use a modern port like skulltag (look in my sig) ? Coolness !
high-resolution OpenGL + hires textures/items + any mod you could think about + awesome multiplayer ...

Quote: | OnLive is going to work. I dont understand all the nay say about it. They proved how it works in the demonstration video. There are talks that Google are investors too Wink |
They didn't prove crap. Their demo was in the room next door. Not across the wild uncontrolled mass that is the internet.
Its a physical impossibility for them to do what they claim and there is nothing they can do about it unless they plan to invent a new technology and build an entirely new internet comprised of that technology.
