Does anybody know of a good racing game (like NFS etc.) with a level editor that allows you to create your own levels (ie. recreating your neighborhood or whatever)?

To be specific, only Trackmania Nations is free. The other games in the series cost money (and are worth every penny!!!).

Thanks. Not quite what I was looking for though. I basically want to be able to build a level from scratch, including buildings, roads etc... Trackmania is more like building a track with track-pieces.

mh what about crashday? there must be a level editor too, but i dont know in how far u can build up things like environment etc... it must be about three years ago that the game came out. later they released a sdk, maybe that could help you

I loved the Crashday editor. It was very similiar to the stunts editor :]
