PC with tower, I don't use my comp for work, mainly for fun/ studies, and I'm not in a dorm, so I'm studying @ home most of the time... Oh yeah: big screen ftw

ok, ok, but you gotta admit that PCs are definitely better for gaming And, for me, it would be kinda weird to doodle sth up in photoshop on 32" TV :S

Apple... meh j/k I tried Apple when I was in a mall, and they're definitely attractive looking. Plus I've heard that they're pretty fine for digital editing and stuff like that. But I don't think I could buy one. Ever. Just not my type...

I really wanted to buy a new laptop. But I realized that my current laptop is enough (except that it won't charge the battery anymore ).
So I am going to get a decent computer with enough power for c4d, after effects and the likes. What would you suggest? Quad Core and Cuda-able GeForce 9000 ? Or even quadro?

Yes quad core or even i7 if you can afford, your videos and 3d will render out very quickly. Then make sure to get tons of ram, at least 8GB, After Effect (and Premiere Pro) loves ram. As for video card GTX260 c216 is the best price/performance ratio now.
