Dunno, never played ArmA 2 or 3. Only heard rumors about the abysmal engine performance.

I have only played a few of the online game mods in Arma 3 and the performance seems to also be based on how many people are in the servers so 5v5 might help smooth things out as it performs well for me in single player but playing on a 100 man server does have some issues, like 30 fps at times.

Maybe because it's a less complicated game and non-moddable it will run fine with 10 players.

Fuck, I need to work, but want to check this out.
Anyway, since it's by the ArmA devs, it will probably need a few more months of bug fixing / patching to make it playable.
