Eh, looks okay to me. I guess cause I don't hate the show.

I've long since gotten over the New Lucasarts being a different company from the Old Lucasarts.

I don't hate the show, but this has been chewed on for far too long. This is like the 5th game.

Well, I just CAN'T. The fuckers.

Say what you will on UE3, considering it is an engine made in 2006, most games using it still look great and run very well on moderate hardware. Smile

Clone Wars GFWL Game Revealed

EW.com has a trailer from Star Wars: The Clone Wars -- Republic Heroes, a Star Wars game based on the animated Clone Wars series that will offer the chance to play as characters including Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Mace Windu, and more. The trailer includes a Yoda (Fauxda?) voice-over and concludes with a September 15, 2009 release date (thanks Kotaku and The Weaponeer). Several target platforms are listed, including an indication that this is one of the previously unannounced titles that will offer Games for Windows LIVE support.

Uh...I count two. One Wii exclusive, and one DS exclusive (the DS one is actually pretty good, too. Some parts remind me of an old point-n-click adventure). This is the first major, multiplatform game based on it.

Do you seriously think this is the first time they've "kiddified" Star Wars?

 Spoiler:

Not to mention the fact that Star Wars has always been marketed just as much to young children, as it has to older folks. Star Wars can't be "kiddified," any more than it can be strictly "adultified," because it has always been aimed at pretty much all age ranges.

Those are based on the Clone Wars, the fictional event. I thought that Frolsa was referring to games based The Clone Wars, the CGI cartoon show.

If we're talking about games based on the event, then it shouldn't be surprising that there are a bunch of games based on The Clone Wars, seeing as they were some of the most significant conflicts in the entire fictional Star Wars history. To be honest, I'm surprised that there aren't more games based on them.

If you don't like anything other than the movies, then why even bother commenting?

And even if you're only talking about the movies, then it's still pretty silly to complain about "kiddification." Seriously, did you see Return of the Jedi? There is some pretty juvenile stuff in that movie. I mean, seriously, is there any question of who the Ewoks were meant to appeal to?

Screens taken from another article on the site, looks kinda bad but I don't know which platform the screens are taken from (PS2, Wii, X360, PS3, PC to name a few of them, don't really know which platforms it's actually announced for though.)

my point was that the franchise hasn't been kiddified on the big screen before, turning the saga into a 3D animation with goofy looking characters is just lame, cheap quick buck is all
it's not about age restriction, it's about the dramatic change in everything we see and recognize from the original franchise

Well, like I said, a lot of Star Wars fans consider a lot of elements of Return of the Jedi to be quite juvenile, especially compared to Empire Strikes Back.

Well, I dunno if it's a "quick buck," seeing as how the cartoon has been in development for years.

[quote]it's about the dramatic change in everything we see and recognize from the original franchise[/quote[
Well, I guess that it's just that the way I see it, Star Wars has always been many things, to many people. I guess we'll just have to disagree on that one.

yeah but a lot don't know about the animations and these haven't got much media attention, this 3D title here is a A title for the big screen, not direct to video or tv
