just wondering if it's possible to play online with a hacked wii. Is it possible at all, or do hacked consoles get blocked/banned or do you need to download updates that break the hacks? Or is it maybe possible to play original games online while still beeing able to maintain a hacked wii for playing backups too?

You can, but why would you?>!?!? I still have yet to play online with the Wii... Are there actually people online and games that are worth playing? Ohh. Just for your info... I have to run all the latest games through Gecko Loader first so the Wii does not update.
