I know that but something similar or a good story with good gameplay maybe does the drill..but there is some awesome games coming like "Darksiders" and "Dante's inferno" which looks very good and i hope they are good as they show.

That's the trouble with wanting a system tied game, anything else normally turns out as a watered down cheap shot. Hence if you can afford it own all the popular consoles (depending on their content) and enjoy the games as you see them.
As said, the Viking game was it's nearest shot..

X-men Wolverine, basically GodOfWar with different graphics... great game.
edit.. oh and Devil May Cry 4 of course, not as close to GoW gameplay wise as Wolverine but it's a good game as well.

WIN! Checking out the trailers and I swear to god, the game is all-but-identical to GoW - just in a darker tone.

Yeah man! I freaking LOVE Conan - despite have fugly graphics - and, until Darksiders and Lords of Shadow come out, it's the closest thing to GoW we're gonna see on the 360.

Oh my god. Lords of shadow trailer was so fking awesome that i jizzed in my pants dude that game is gonna great!! the good thing is that the creator of MGS is doing it it couldnt be better

Played the conan demo, didn't like it at all. Also played ninja gaiden II and the game was more than ok i like it, but i have some few question for those who played it already. Can you upgrade your weapon? will you get more weapons? is there anything else u can do beside fighting? pussles etc?

I must agree with Sabin, Conan rocks. Come on, you can pull enemy's guts out with your bare hands... what else you would want? I actually even finished the game, but the last boss was real pain in the ass. Graphics is not that bad. Tons of moves, blood, gore, dismemberment. Sure, it does not look like GoW but still lot's of fun. As for GoW, I actually consider buying a PS3 for this one and GT5.

Conan is the closest to GOW but it wasn't THAT great lol. I was entertained enough to play it to the end but it's not like a masterpiece, pretty fun but still forgettable IMO. If you're desperate for an action hack n slash though I guess it's the one to get.

Yes, you will get more weapons. Each weapon has 3 upgrades and has it's own fighting style/combos/finishers etc which unlock when you upgrade your weapon... Some Lv3 weapons are also very powerful.
There are easy pussles where you must shoot the target with a bow to open the gate, use an item to open the door etc but mostly you fight. I actually liked this game more than GoW, it's much more challenging

Devil may cry was my "God Of War" fix for the xbox - fast action, maybe a bit over the top - but still top notch!
on a side note:
Damn my eyes - my browser didn't autologin, so i accidentally saw those sad posts from sabin. Do not - i repeat - do NOT listen to any of his bullshit!
