Judging by the screenshots, the combat portion of the game doesn't seem particularly big in scale, which is a bit of a shame. Should be fun nonetheless, will try for sure.

Well the feature list of battle mode sounds a lot better than the screenies seemed, can't copy the text because it's in flash, but just go to official site, pick 'THE GAME' category and the battle mode sub-section.

Looks very unrealistic. B17's tactical bombing, generally short engagement ranges, extremely tight formation of units to name just a few. I doubt this will be worth it for true wargamers, although strategy gamers might enjoy it.
Ive only played it for a bit and I dont mind it. Its no TW game, but its not bad. Its something to play when I dont feel like playing a shooter or rpg. And atleast I have a strat to play till Empire comes out
Hm...having somewhat more difficulties here. When I mount the 2nd CD I get some weird error half through. Unfortunately I did not memorize it, but it was something along the lines of "blablabla, .exe has encountered a severe error and will stop installing" the options where Ignore, continue and cancel. Don't matter what i click I get the same CRAP all over. Dling the 2nd DVD from another source at the mo, if that don't work I will for sure give up and trash it 100%...and yes, I am a bit P'ed off at the mo...
I was about to say that a patch was available but it seems to be for a older version released in certain European countries a while ago.
(There's a 1.02 update for a German version and a 1.03 update for the Czech and Polish editions.)
Will be interesting to see whether Creative Assembly will finally do a World War era TW game after Empire... The level of awesome would be off the scale.
