Yea, Uncharted, Killzone 2 and Heavy Rain looks pretty good but those are games i can live without, God of War however is a game i must play and finish.

I'm not going to buy one. Simply for the reason that console games prices are insanely high and you can't download and play game on PS3 like you can on X360.
...And even if you could, burning BR-D would cost me fortune... If I'll buy a console some day it will defo be 360.

E3 just showed me that I shouldn't buy one, there just isn't enough there to warrant the price tag, they would need to drop the price by at least £150 before I would even consider it.. even then it would be almost purely for the blueray player..

I ain't gonna buy a PS3 just for a couple of games... two Xbox 360 and one Wii are enough for me right now.
As for the Blu-ray player, I already got a Panasonic for half the price of a PS3.

E3 has definitely solidified my faith in the PS3 as a competitor to the 360. I purchased one some 6 months ago, but apart from a few big games I haven't really played it much.
I still haven't purchased Infamous yet, even though I loved the demo. I always find it difficult going back to the PS3 after playing the 360 just because the controller feels so uncomfortable.
Still, if E3 is any indication I'll definitely be dedicating more time to it in the future.

I am probably gonna sell mine by the end of this year if it doesnt get hacked. Other than Uncharted 2, I am not excited by any of the new games shown. With 5 hrs a week for videogaming, I can easily survive on the staple of games on the pc and 360...
And for movies my HTPC can easily do 1080p, and scene releases come out more than a month befor ethe actual bluray disks

Already have one, but it's just been sitting around doing nothing the last few months apart from the occasional bluray movie. I'm glad there's finally some really nice looking games coming for it but it's still AT LEAST half a year away :/

guys you know if you import a ps3 from Japan they are like £150 retail there brand new.. the hardest part though is getting it shipped to the States or Europe without paying the tax.. so if any one is going over to Japan fro hols soon...

If they chop the price of the PS3, I'll reconsider getting one.
I've owned one in the past and for me, there wasn't enough to hold my interest as my xbox is the main used console in the house. We've a better bluray player therefore wouldn't buy it for that.
GOW3 is tempting, as too is Uncharted 2 but the current releases don't hold my interest (already completed uncharted 1, played and didn't enjoy MGS4 and LBP wasn't my thing).

the ps3 has yet to hit the magic 299 barrier for me to be interested in it. Coupled with the fact that they ripped the PS2 support out of the 80GB version and there are NO GOOD GAMES to play on it why should I shell out almost 400 for a blu-ray player when I don't even watch enough movies from netflix to matter.
All in all it's an amazing system, but for the 3-5 games I'd really want to play on it there's no reason to rush out and buy one. I was this [] close to picking up a new 80GB until I found out there was no PS2 support, that killed it for me.
Drop the price by $50, bring back PS2 support for my nice library of games then i'll jump. Until then I dont need a $400 blu-ray player.

More boring shiny games that do not look interesting.
PS3 has potential, but none of the games are ones that cry out for me to go out and buy the system.
All in all there is nothing on this system that interests me in the least. FF isn't enough to buy this system like i did on the PS/PS2. Xbox has JRPGs and games like Mass Effect. Sports games can be played on both system so it's a moot point. If the best is MGS and Ratchet and Clank I think I'll go play on the Wii.
