Like the title says recommend me roguelike game.
See, I'm not very deep into the whole roguelike thing so basically the only ones I've played so far are Nethack (which is fun but cheeses you into death way too often me thinks), Doom RL (which is not so much my cup of tea, I'm more of a fantasy guy) and a couple others that I briefly played but remember almost none of it.
Only a couple of "requirements". It should be fantasy (don't care if it's high or low fantasy) and I'd prefer it to be ASCII graphics.
Recommend away folks! Smile

Tomenet. http://www.tomenet.net/

Great multiplayer roguelike RPG. Lots of depth and tons of replayability. Some learning curve but well worth it. Free. Great community. Game is still updated & patched. If you prefer single player, then try ToME.

Dwarf Fortress

Just prepare to spend couple of days watching tutorial videos Smile But once you get in it's the best thing available.

If you prefer more dungeoncrawl kind, try Adom (www.adom.de)

Edit: Damn I've been high or still sleeping while wrote this post... fixed the tags and typoes Smile

Yeah, adom's good. Try incursion.

Epsilon: Game is great btw, I love it, so far it's a definite goty. It's remarkable how much has changed since the beta, stardock have been working their asses off, and it shows.

being allergic to anything fantasy, i really liked the doom roguelike
it's got all the usual doom monsters copy-pasted into a roguelike environment
levels are generated (except special levels)
only thing in common with the original are really just monsters and the theme
i like it that it's a turn based shooter and runs in a console (or over ssh) so i can play it at work and not worry about being interrupted

you guys know to recommend anything similar?
roguelikes with shotguns Smile
