I heard that this game has been nuked, is it true? Thought i heard also that a proper is in the works?

I would like to just get my hands on that Steam Emulator...I've been waiting all day for my HL2 to get fully authenticated to allow Offline mode.

tried to play three times now... none went futher than 40sec of ingame than it crashes and says "lost connection to steam server" so yes... this is more than nuked.

I heard that the big crash is due to the actual game and it WOULD happens even in retail (but no one to actually confirm that) . It seems everyone gets it regardless (take this post as a grain of salt though).
So I assume that Emporio only messed up the crack and the game itself is buggy. Just have to wait and see, but may not even need to be a repack. Maybe a small little patch of say, 3 megs?

who knows.. im just suprised that emperio released this crap... was it just to be wooohoooo we got a 1/10000 working copy of the reeetail!!!!!!.... out first!

More like 4gigs. On a 768 down it was a real bitch for me. I'm at 85% or so and would hate to lose 4 gigs.

legit copies of the game are working..i know guys who already passed more than half of the game (so to say half of half-life). they bought the game today in the morning in Germany.
so either the crack is not working properly (that is what i hope) or the packing of the game is wrong (that would mean 4 gig of mess)
anyway, hope to become smarter in the next couple of hours

emporio repack coming today (in their time zone) (95% chance this is going to happen). reloaded retail release should also be coming out tomorrow (75% chance this is going to happen). for now try this cool confirmed working method before valve blocks all exploited keys (it may have already):

Nah not Kilo Bytes, but Kilo Bits.
For example, I get like 80 KB/s. You can add that up by 4 gigs. That is like my whole day of downloading (almost)

I bought retail & this is what happened to me, I loaded the game, it asked for my CDkey so I pluged it in BUT I had winxp's firwall on & didn't notice the box that popped up. so I was waiting for about 2 mins and a message popped up say that steam was full & it unlock it anyway, saying will check the cd key later. I think it confused steam. This might be a work around:]

Around noon i tried to get HL2 with the STEAM bypass crack but Valve finally figured out what we were doing and start banning STEAM account so dont use your real account....althought that little scam doesnt work anymore
