Looks nice, I like how you can really have a 'high rise' city center with 'low rise' suburbs.

Yes, together with the new population system, it gives you a better feeling how your city is doing. Can`t wait to drive away the tramps, ...with force... of course Wink

Not really, they raise the amount of goods and ressources to over 60. You have ca 55 different production buildings. Now you have to produce glasses, barrels and other pre-products, holy f**k that`s a lot of shit to produce. It`s the biggest part of the game to satisfy your citizens needs, so it`s not a big suprise that they expand it.

Can't wait for this game. Smile It's gonna rock for sure and according to this site (it's in german so I couldn't understand much of this preview but I'm sure anyone can make out the most important parts of it. Smile) you won't need a £900 PC to run this game on the highest settings. Smile

PS.: Ooops I forgot to link the site lol Very Happy http://www.gamestar.de/specials/spiele/1956198/technik_check_anno_1404_p2.html

Atleast in the beta there are four civilisation levels + beggers + two civilisation levels in the orient, 55 products, but only 6 functional production chains.

I'd greatly appreciate an early release since I've been waiting for a strategy game like this for such a long time! Very Happy For me, only Age4 could be even better, but not that space crap which was advertised in some booklets... that'd suck Smile Neway, my comp is: A64 X2 6000+ 3GHz, 2GB DDRII. 800MHz, Sapphire Radeon 4830. What settings do you think my comp could run this game on? I'd like sg like this: 1360*768, Highest Details, 4xAA, 16xAF HDR etc. I reckon on similar settings I should get around 30-40FPS which is quite enough for me. Smile But I'm curious about your opinions.

Are you aware about existence of Anno 1701 and its expansion?

Yes,I've recently tried Anno 1701 out and I really liked it. Smile However, there's one thing that drives me mad. The way ships turn is so unreal and lousy... :\ Hope that won't be the same in 1401. Smile

edit: bloody hell ships turn the same as in 1701 AD Sad Why?!?!

Ubisoft uses DRM for Anno1404

The News is in german (pcgames.de), but basically is to read, that ubisoft decided, to use DRM with no possibility to revoke your key Surprised After 3 activations you have to contact ubisoft.

This is a big bunch of "this would be a reason to ban me"

Perhaps Tages then as it doesn't revoke manually compared to the recent SecuROM online activation scheme. (/revoke at the end of the shortcut to the EXE, not all title uses this command though.)

Tages from what I know (Read on the Riddick forum) does allow you to use more than three activations as after two weeks the oldest one is "freed" or what to call it.
(It'll still be activated however but can be re-used without going over the amount of total activations allowed.)

Ofcourse sending a support mail to either Tages or Ubisoft (Or SecuROM if they still end up using it.) will free up a activation attempt if you include any details they might require.
(Obviously the key will be banned if it's used over multiple IP's a number of times.)

Well this sucks, especially because Anno games tend to get a lot of updates. No more easy mini image fun Sad

But are there any games that actually keeps this for longer than the first month or so? I have a few games were they claimed it should work like this but havent had any problems even after 5 installs +..
