i tried the firefox plugin Video DownloadHelper, it works like sjit
there is this Ask toolbar package that allows you to download flash, etc media
it works good but i don't want the extra toolbar

detects any streaming media file in any application and captures it seperately
the trial only downloads 50% i think, but you can right click the stream as it's downloading and copy the url and use your browser to download it completely (if it is an http stream)
Why doesn't DownloadHelper work with this particular video page ?
DownloadHelper has a good success rate for downloading videos. According to many user discussion threads found on the Web, it has the best efficiency amongst other equivalent extensions. However, it may not work at all for some sites if the video server you are consulting implements an uncommon technical method for displaying the video.
and the sites that don't work with VDH are not just porn sites
hmmz perhaps better to reinstall that Ask toolbar, i can always hide it when i don't need it
