It actually made me realise that I put too much into this forum, too much time and too much effort. Whether you lot understand me or not is irrelevant, and like you said I have more real world projects to work on. Maybe after they come to fruition I can return here with validation.

I don't think I'll visit these forums much any more, and when I do I wont engage in serious discussion. It agitates me too much, and that'll just agitate other people and get me banned again.

ever thought about how you're taking all this a little bit too seriously? even though there are good people here - at the end of the day, it's an internet forum, not a science consortium. if you seek respect and validation, the first step would be to cease whining about them Wink

You're right, you all are in your own way.

I'm going to start now, you probably won't see as much of me on these forums any more.

I've realised that regardless of how I might understand people on a neurochemical level, I obviously have trouble relating if I have agitated so many people. I am arrogant, I always have been, but it's gone way past acceptable these last few weeks.

Thanks sYn for helping me realise all this, and lots of other people as well, even Newty182. I shut people down, and don't even really listen to what they have to say, regardless of whether I'm right or not, that just isn't the way to communicate with people.

I apologise to those people I angered, I understand why now, even Epsilon, it doesn't matter if you banned me or not, the way I approached the whole situation was wrong.

Like my sig says, 'knowledge without understanding is useless', maybe I should start taking my own advice a bit more. Very Happy

So you're leaving without saying how that project of yours went? That's rude... Sad

Well I'm not leaving permanently or anything, I was just going to be less active.

The project is going well thanks, I'm only making £200 a week at the moment, but it's a start, and I can basically just sit on my arse and let that money role in. I'll need some help to take it further, but that's a conversation for another thread. I'll get in touch with the requisite people when the time comes. So don't worry Ron or Tainted. Wink

Hey, sorry I acted like a supreme asshole. I had this impression that everyone else had changed, when in fact it was me that had changed.

I'm not sure if you'll accept my apology or not, but it doesn't really matter, I just needed to say it. Check my thread in the useless void for a slightly more elaborate admission.

Thats alright, live and let live. I forgive you.

hey man, just relax and have fun if someone posts some stupid shit just laugh at them or retort and move along Very Happy

I love this place because there are lot of users and a lot of fucked up people who bring new and funny perspectives to anything. I spend quite a bit of time here but not in every forum section and I certainly(rarely) jump in to any heavy discussions because that's not what I'm here for.

Don't feel bad, I needed that post you made, god did I need it. I didn't really pay attention to it at the time, but I've reread it and you made some excellent points.

I tell you what happened, I went to sleep after having that argument with sYn, and when I woke up I realised just how much of an asshole I'd been. I'm almost embarrassed, but since I've learned from the experience I don't regret it. Smile

Thanks Epsilon, you're a cool guy, and like I said, it was me that changed, not you.

You are absolutely right AM. Life changes, but never this place. It´s easy to get bored with it, but it´s also easy to come back to...old habits.

Some really good people are gone, some came back, some didn´t. The places filled up with new people. Was it better before? Probably not, even though nostalgia would claim the opposite.

If anyone leaves for a year or two and came back there will still be the hyping, bashing other gamers (based on what system they play on), gfx masturbation, that guy in bitching session still haven´t got laid, etc, etc.

It´s like a soap, easy to jump right back in.

Cya around. Either here or elseplaces. Smile

This is my favourite thread in a while, feels like I'm finally putting myself across in a way that people can understand. I'm just glad I hadn't burnt any bridges that couldn't be repaired. Thanks people!

Nothing for you to be sorry for, you are what you are just as I am what I am. The fact that you've learnt from it is all that matters. Whilst my anger was real, I never held any bad feelings towards you as a person, you're a good person, but we all have flaws. I am also sorry if anything I said was overly offensive, it was put across that way to bring an emotional response which in turn I hoped would show you the situation for what it really was. I am also sorry for what was said and how I acted.

Hopefully we can all move forward from this having learnt something.

dude, dont be too hard on yourself..

Sometimes in life these #awakenings# happen and you have to realize that you will never look at things the same way again, I know I have had a few in my time. I guess "epiphany" is the word here..?

Well, I wish you the best of luck with your projects.. you didnt share with me what it was as the thread was moved to VIP only.. or maybe you did and i didnt read it in time before it moved. Oh well..

I guess I will "miss" another regular not around here anymore, just dont do a Jenni on us and bugger off completely over anything Razz arrogant and opinionated yes, but dont worry too much as its clear opinions are frowned upon quite considerably around here.. there seems to be a heard mentality at times eh?

Cya around dude. And remember, "disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it" -voltaire Wink
