Laughing About the requirements, I just hope they use a newer version of the UE3... It will then have the generic performance most games have (great on a 8800GTX Very Happy).

Could never get Vegas to run properly on my PC eg invisible textures everywhere so had to settle with playing it on the 360 Smile. Great game and I cant wait Very Happy

well.. first one sucked on PC so I guess this won't be any better.

It was great fun on the xbox 360 though, so I'm looking forward to this game on the 360, but not on PC.

coop ftw!

SUCKED ON PC!!!!! No way, I really enjoyed it!. Oh well I guess I am one of those that never really feel confortable with a game controller playing FPS.

well the game itself wasn't bad on pc, it was the same as it was on the 360, but it just ran like shit on my 7900 gtx so maybe that's why I never bothered with it on the PC.
maybe saying that it sucked on PC was a little exagerated

I prefer a mouse and keyboard for shooters (I'm not a console fanboy), but I don't have a problem with using a controller either.

I just liked it a lot more on the 360 because I was able to play splitscreen coop and it had a good framerate too

Great Game. A lot of action, it runs good on my 7600GT, 1GB, C2D 6300. Sometimes the framerate drops but it's not a big deal.

I hope Vegas 2 will be like the first one.

Ran poorly on 7900GTX? LOL. When the game came out, I was still using a 6800GT, and it ran fine. I finished the game and had loads of fun. It was a little choppy at certain points due to my poor vid card, but no big deal. I now have an 8800GT, so may give it another run! Totally forgot how much fun it was. Can't wait for the 2nd one.

Well, I'm not making it up.

A game may run poorly on an 8800 GTX that runs fine on a 6800 GT too.
It all depends on the respective settings and resolutions.
And as I had already played it on my 360 I wasn't going to play it on anything that looked worse than that

If you looked at the recent video's, they have a new rank system. The points you get in singleplayer are the same in multiplayer which is awesome.

only thing that bothered me about the orginal was that it tend to corrupt the savegame, and you didn't have the oppertunity to save on different slots. Which meant you had to start from the begining if it corrupted the savegame halfthru the game....

Played it thru co-op on the PS3 version though and had a blast.

Agreed, the series really turned to shit after Raven shield.
So did Ghost recon, the first one was really fun, cant remember part 2 but Ghost recon advanced warrior or what it was called was pure console garbage fps.
And i like console games but please, fps should stay on the PC, Coop fps can be fun on the console but thats it.

GRAW 1/2 PC were actually decent, and had nothing to do with the console crap (which is also decent lol, but has nothing to do with GR). The first wasn't liked that much because it had very high end requirements for its time, and the second had very hard and too accurate (borderline cheating) AI, but from gameplay standpoint, they were great.

The PC version was developed by a different developer, it was also a very different game.
some textures and models were used in both games, but other than that it was a different game.

the missions were different, the interface was different, the console version was actually third person while the PC version was first person.
It was overall a lot more action oriented on the xbox360.

GRAW 1 and 2 did feel pretty unfinished, but they definitely weren't console garbage.
Just decent PC games.

I don't know what was the deal with GRAW on PC. People complained that they didn't want any action based consoltype of GR, and one that was more like the original GR. Grin did exactly that and then they got shit because they made it a totally different version of the Xbox360 version. However, it wasn't optimized very well...but if I recall right the original GR wasn't either when it was released back in the days.

I do think both the consol versions of GRAW and PC version where good in their own ways.

I loved Rainbow Six Vegas, except that thing about it corrupting my savegames....

It was nothing like the old GR's is why so many people were so pissed off.

and I do believe the GR series was the only game(s) around people forgave the shitty AI willingly. Oh this has shitty AI? Who cares..it's Ghost fucking Recon

Hmm, well I saw it pretty much as the old one. You get a team, get to choose weapons, dropped in a zone. Use the map to order around your teammates and you could also give them order on the fly. The only difference I saw was the setting, GRAW was set in mexico, while GR had a more middle europen based missions, aslo GR had a more open terrrain while GRAW had urbansetting. It also had the same stiff movements and same crappy AI (as you pointed out).

I'm not flaming you here, but what was in the old GR that you didn't have in the new one? Give me a perspective Smile
