It's strange so many angels and demons dvdrips, really high quality!!!
But where is the dvd release with chapters, menus, ac3 5.1???? I have seen no nfo's on here
Surely the groups releasing the dvdrips wanted a dvd r5 release???

what's a R5 line?
I have seen posted on many sites angels and demons dvdrip xvid, I have watched a sample and you cannot tell the difference between a xvid dvdrip. So it seems it's definitely a dvdrip???

R5 = region 5 DVD with russian audio
So what they do is use the russian DVD picture and put direct line english audio (recorded in cinema) on it.
I've seen A&D R5 as well, and although the picture and audio are good, you sometimes notice slight out of synch issues. This is a frequent problem for R5 releases

sorry but this cannot be, the audio and picture quality on the sample I saw was mind blowing, really it was. These releases must be coming from a dvd.

why do people who dont know something, always tell people who DO know shit, that theyre wrong... seriously, when i read your posts and then read you telling him hes wrong my brain literally shut down for 5 minutes... it only just came back online now.
trust him. hes very very right. its NOT a dvdrip in the traditional sense. the quality is very good, and the audio was really quite excellent for an r5, so i understand your confusion, but it is NOT a dvdrip.

I've heard from reliable inside sources the teams aren't releasing a DVDr to spite the TS. Did you piss anyone off by any chance thebeliever?

okay so I guess I am wrong then. But please explain where does this amazing picture quality come from, if it's not coming from a dvd. Then it certainly can't be coming from camera filming the movie off the cinema screen.

as was explained, it comes from a russian dvd. it is NOT taken from the cinema, but its an authentic dvd released in russian stores (to try and combat piracy i believe), so the quality is very good - not as good as the picture will be in 'proper' retail dvd releases in the rest of the world, but still much better than TS releases. the audio on these dvds is russian, so english audio is sourced from alternate means, and so the audio quality on r5 releases is random - sometimes good, sometimes horrible.

That's for the explanation, but how does this combat piracy. the MPAA must know that releasing a dvd so soon is going to jump start bootlegs.

yeah my understanding was that atleast this way the studio makes a profit.
they have to weigh up the importance of making that profit vs the eventually quality release on the internet - thats why sometimes you wont see r5's for some releases at all, and usually youll only see them AFTER the theatrical release has had its run in the major countries.
