I think these movies were some of the best so far.
Terminator Salvation
X-men Origins: Wolverine
Underworld: Rise Of The Lycans
Valkyrie
Star Trek
Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen

I would say for best CGI rather then screenplay...

...moving along, guess no one mentioned up because that seems kinda obvious for best animated i guess...
unless 9 kicks as much ass as i hope it will... but its probably going to be too dark to actually be allowed to win an oscar... would 9 still be in the running for 2010, or year after? i dont know when cut-off dates are.

I would say Watchmen is the best movie so far, but I believe James Cameron Avatar will fill most of the categories of 2010's oscar nominations

well i would have said avatar hands down, i think its going to blow everything away... of course im a cameron fanboy but whatever 
but i wasnt sure if avatar would make it for the oscars - like i said, i dont know when the cut-off dates are for final submissions.

Underworld: Rise of Lycans nominated for an Oscar? Put the crack pipe down and step away from it slowly......
It was ok but not Oscar worthy.
Same goes for X-Men Origins and Transformers 2.
Maybe Fox will get an Oscar for most recent Botox injection but thats about it....
Only one of those movies you mentioned I think personally should get a nomination or win is Terminator 4.
Star Trek was completely ruined (great CGI tho) and Cruise ruins any movie he's in...even when its a good movie. |
