Must... stay... away!
Puzzle Quest has cost me enough of my lifetime! ... but it's so much fun... ;_;
I know that if I check it out, I'll probably can't stop playing so I'll postpone this until my exams are over Smile

So how's the cheating AI? Still cheating? Getting unbelievable gem drops as always? Honestly, even if the developers released the code to prove the AI doesn't know what's going to fall, or intentionally changes the drops before they fall to ensure constant 4 or 5 gem combos, I wouldn't believe it.

Still
Puzzle Quest = Awesome
Space = Awesome

Puzzle Quest IN Space = Awesome squared

i can has computar?!

I've grabbed this release from 3 different sources now - the result is always the same:

Mounting either the .bin or .cue file results in freezing up DT Pro until I force a hard restart - doesn't matter whether I use a IDE or SCSI drive.

Anyone else have this issue?

Edit - Ended up extracting the files manually via MagicISO and the setup runs fine - but I'm still wondering whether the image is fubar or something funky is up with my DT.

I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

Have you tried editing the .cue file in notepad incase it's a bit incorrect (Pointing to a .bin file that doesn't exist because it's renamed or something.)

Could also use a extraction program like UltraISO and extract the file directly and run the setup from there.

EDIT: Seems you did.

Its 5AM - played this fucking thing for hours on end.....

It makes me so angry - the AI fucking pulls tiles out its ass - and the medium gate hack attempts are fucking IMPOSSIBLE - but for some reason, and I'm not sure why, I keep playing...

Played it for a bit now, and hacking gates suck, I hate time limit puzzles! what the hell you cant even progress the game without these, game breaking fail right there.

In the previous version it was only for upgrades for your mounts and stuff.

Also super annoying is that your ship flies where ever your mouse pointer is.

So far I am not enjoying it as much as i did the original.

Thank fuck for that! I thought I was the only one that thought the AI was a cheating motherfucker! God damnit, the drops the AI get are just ridiculous!

Still, the game is - and always will be - ludicrously addictive! I played the original on my 360 so much that I actually started DREAMING of gem combos >_<

Not really, the original puzzle quest only had time limited puzzles for enhancing items and such, while most of the game play was based on non time limited puzzles against bosses that had special powers and items that made those puzzles harder, which was fun.

In this case however you have time limited puzzles (less than 2 minutes) to go from solar system to solar system to progress the game and which is simply frustrating and not a lot of fun.

Edit: Also these hacking puzzles are sort of a side puzzle where all your items and stuff you upgrade your ship with have no effect what so ever.
