Im thinking of buying the HL2 Orange box but just want to know what do you actaully get with it? Are the CDKeys Seperate or is there just one that activates all the games and are the discs seperate or are all the games on one disc?
Thanks

There are separate keys for each application in the box. You get HL2, HL2 EP1, HL2 EP2, Portal and TF2.

You can also download (for free) loads of amusing MOD's for Source SDK.
I'm playing Age of Chivalry now, fun game.

If you already have HL2 on the account you buy the orange box on it won't download it again or give you the key (at least not that I'm aware of), instead it'll just let you give it to another account user as a free gift. That's what I did.
I suppose if you find someone stupid enough to pay it's possible to do that, but it'd have to be someone really gullible because for a few quid more they could have the whole package of the HL2 universe (thus far) plus two great extras.

Oh Im talking about The Orange box that you buy from the Shops on disc (Not a download via Steam).
Its cheaper buying the orange box from a shop £15 compaired to Steams £25 - £30 Plus your actually getting something not just a download!.

As far as I know it still works the same way, and you can backup all your games to disc if you download them (just fyi).

Steam isn't shit anymore, you are late on Steam bashing bandwagon.

Also, where are you buying the Orange Box for £15? It's £26~ on both Play.com and Amazon.co.uk so when you say you are buying it from a shop what do you mean?
Steam is great, you can download and install your games on any PC anywhere in the world. All you need is your account name and password, no hassles with CD/DVD's or updates. That isn't to say Steam is perfect however.

This is from the guy that buys new Russian software for 13 euros. Why not buy Orange Box from your local Russian street bootleggers for 3 euros and play it on some Kazakh server for free.

Or you can download for free with no Steam shit and no keys at all. The only multiplayer game is Team Fortress 2 which is piece of shit. Delete few last cabs and burn it on just one DL DVD as I did. Save money for more important things.
