My gf took me camping for the first time like last month or something and I absolutely loved it to the point where I'm turning into a camping nut. Just got back from camping yet again yesterday, had an amazing trip.
All the camping supplies we have are hers and she has a decent tent but don't know how it'd hold up to rain ( the rain flies don't look very stable)
The two that has interested me so far is the Coleman Montana 8
and the Columbia Couger Flats II
and lastly Colemane WeatherMaster 6 Screened
They all catch my interest but the columbia and weathermaster both have horrible comments on rain leaking in.
anyone know of good tents that are spacious with good rain fly's? Or should I just not worry too much about rain since we don't plan our trips with rainy days.

i wont answer any of your good tent questions, cause thats easy to find out if you dare to ask some questions in the place they sell them.
I will tell you that i have been camping almost every year of my excistence. The most annoying thing about camping for me is waking up early in the morning with the sun shining on your tent, even if you have a camping place in the shadow.
The best thing is offcourse the freedom you have, you wanna go somewhere, just pack up your tent and go, you found a good spot, just put it up.
The tents you chose in your post. They are more like multiple people tents, not just you and your girlfriend. the only upside is that if it rains you can sit at a table "outside", otherwise its just stupid, unless your afraid to touch eachother

The best tent is an old canvas tent.. I had one until I was a teenager and they're hard to get... but they're great!

Serious camping you want a 4 season tent expedition tent. It is by Eureka. It is the same tent that has been brought to Mt Everest and it has never let me down in any kind of West Coast weather, I doubt you will do anything like I do tho. You can't get to most of the places where I go, you need a boat. Mine is too big for hiking as well.
Mine has stood up to gale force winds and rain. My life would of been in danger of hyperthermia if it didn't
Most important thing is to take care of it after. I hose mime off after salt water trips and let it dry out before I pack it away for another year.
Mine is igloo shaped with a HUGE front vestivule you can crouch and change, or perhapes pee in a container in the middle of the night, then open the door and chuck it out. The back vestivule lets you store you raingear like boots and drybags for easy access. Ours is a 3 man tent. So there is some room on the sides to keep your own shit shit like headlights, t.p., wipe wipes, and personal crap like contacts, mirrors, and books. Weed. (bears like weed, hang it with your food, along with the toothpaste and deoderant)
I am prob talking bullshit to you, I didn't check out your links.

Any military surplus stores in your area? With a bit of luck you could find a higher quality tent with less money.

I frequently go on month long backpacking trips with my spare leave. Earlier this month I hiked up and back down pikes peak and spent a good deal of time in Pike National Forest. I exclusively use Eureka! tents. They are some of the best tents in the industry for the price. They are simple to setup. Weigh almost nothing. Nice aluminum poles, and aren't usually anymore then $200 for a two person tent. So if you want backpacking tents, Eureka! is the way to go. If you want car camping tents, coleman's are decent. I don't really consider car camping, camping though.
So I guess the real question is, are you looking to do some serious camping / backpacking, or do you just want a decent car camping tent? The tents you have listed are obviously car camping tents, so I'm going to assume that.

ya ive been told eureka is the way to go reguardless the camping style, the rule of thumb I was told, if you want a good company, look at those who make backpacking tents.
But ya, I car camp, camping is camping to me, except those who drive 400,000 dollar RV'S to camp.
One popped up at our campsite, dumbasses even set up a fucking satellite dish outside there site. What the fuck is the point in paying all that gas to move the RV, pay for the campsite and all the rest of the stuff, just so you can cook a few burgers then go back inside ot watch TV....

Don't car camp man. Park somewhere, hike a bit and setup shop. More fun. Having the car right there is fine if its a party/rave etc but not for camping with your girl and or some friends...imo anyhow.
Those ppl in RV's...its retarded to own one of those unless you drive least 6 months outta year. My parents know a couple who are Canadian, they spend spring and summer in Canada but when fall rolls around, they drive around the southern US and I guess parts of the West Coast. That I understand. But having some 30g+ RV to go camping is plain stupid....just fucking stay home and sit outside u know?

Those RV's start to rot pretty fast here. I like those bowlers, pretty cool and basic.

How come...as in, why do the RV's rot. Excessive amounts of rain or some shit?

You got it. It rains alot in BC, and the western coast and most of those trailers/Rvs are made of wood.
