MagnaCarta II is a video game developed by Softmax and published by Banpresto exclusively for Xbox 360. It is a follow-up to the role-playing games Magna Carta: The Phantom of Avalanche released on Windows and Magna Carta: Crimson Stigmata released on the PlayStation 2. It will be released in Japan on August 6, 2009. This marks the series' first entry onto a next-gen console. The game was officially unveiled in the April 2009 edition of Famitsu magazine.
Well fuck, I can't get demo to work. Is it possible that demo is region locked? Or maybe it's because I burned to a DVD+RW? But xbox recognized folder structure so it means that it can read the disc. I also tried unplugging ethernet.
Haha. Watched trailer. Almost too embarresing and even a bit disturbing at places. The hermaphrodite maincharacter (?) has the voice of Michael Jackson.
Obviously even the company behind the game knows it´s shit if they are desperate enough to try to sell it with boobs.
He seems to be stabbing her in the back which forces her epic boobies to reveal themselves further, while the character in shadow has lifted up her skirt at the back [you can actually see her hands try to force her skirt back down] which moves the female character to have that surprised look on her face.
On a side note, anyone know if the Japanese version has English text or better yet audio?

Nice story, but this game got 38/40 on Famitsu (japanese gaming mag). Also check gameplay vids.
Did you get it to work yet? Rather get first hand impressions from someone here.
No, Japanese demo I downloaded is either region locked or badly ripped.
jap demo (dl'ed from ms store) works fine here on my pal xbox, has to be a faulty rip.
jap audio/text only btw
so how is the demo?
Is the battle turn based or real time? it looks like the guy has to wait which implies at least a turn based component
btw the game got 29/40 in Famitsu

i don't know that much japanese, so i understood more or less...jack shit
well, i at least managed to follow the map arrow to find some team mates (?) of mine and we beat the shit out of some thing which looked like the result of a horny hyena coming across a zebra
seems the combat works this way: you attack, the gauge builds up. gauge hits the top, you go into overdrive for a few seconds, followed by overheating-->cooldown period.

Yeah but did you actually BEAT the tut monster?
I used overdrive tons of times but it seemed the monster just regained health every few seconds...
At first I thought that it being a fire creature my wizards fire-based spells recharged its HP but even when I stopped her casting he regained health much faster than I could damage him....
Another game that has me weeping over the loss of my 360. I played the original Magna Carta games (PS2 and PC EngTrans) to death, absolutely adored them ... so yeah, it sucks balls that a 360 version is so close to release and I'm still sans-360.
