Finally a cricket game, and from the demo, I think its as good as Brian Lara 99. The game comes out in UK and Australia this week. Just hope the 360 version is region free. Otherwise I will have to import the PS3 version from UK.

I played the demo and thought that this game was utter crap, the bowling is awful, if the AI goes for runs it just carries on until you run them out etc...

AWFUL!

then you are not playing it right. Just make the AI work the ball, and put fielders in the exact spots they are hitting, and you can hold them to a decent score. THE AI is much more aggressive than the last BLIC game, which is great.

Played the demo, worked my way up to hard.

Its very easy to contain the AI, just keep bowling a particular length and place fielders.
You will get about 3-4 run outs (some of them utterly stupid).
And the rest probably catches.

Used the demo unlocker (PC version obviously, played 20 over matches). |
Managed to score 200+ runs (All out on the last ball of the 20th over Razz)
Got the AI out at 50 odd runs in the 12th over or something, and this was on hard.

Playing on normal is utterly stupid. The bowlers keep bowling full tosses and you keep on running down the track and slogging them for six.

They keep on doing this for some bizarre reason (perhaps on the off chance that you will mistime and get bowled or caught). Anyway it got annoying and I stopped playing on Normal.

Hope the different match types n shit make for a bit of a variety.

And yeah, best cricket game EVER.

I remember praying Brian Lara 96 on Sega, and playing BLC 2005 on PC (the demo, but it sucked).

I'm extremely sceptical whether a group will crack this shit on PC or not considering cricket isn't big in the US.

There wasn't a release of Brian Lara 2006 was there last year ?

All the cricket games till date have been cracked. Even Brian Lara Cricket 07 was cracked by RELOADED. So it's not necessary that the game has to make it big in the US to be cracked. Razz

I finally lost patience and bought the downloadable version from gameplanet.com. It was 25 pounds or 42 USD. The game is protected by Tages, so if Darkcoder or someone can get on it, it shouldnt be hard. Meanwhile back to my T20 Champions League.
