howdy folks
today i have a wierd problem for all of ya... my internet keeps cutting off.y.. i turn on my computer, internet works fine for like 5 minutes.. then internet explorer and firefox stop working, however IF before the internet shuts off i am let say sending a file with mirc or msn they don't stop.... i can unhook my modem but ntohing.. my laptop and other computer are hooked up to the same router and they work perfectly...
i have no idea why internet stops working after a short while after i turn on the computer.... i dont ven have to use IE or FF for the internet to stop working ,if the computer has been on for a while and i open IE nothing comes up
i'm just lost at what this could be wrong with this crappy computer

well, for starters... windows.
Might want to update or reinstall your network card's drivers, though it could be anything. In case of emergency call your ISP. They always help me with my bucket's pipeline fucking up.

doesn't windows has an option to disconnect from the net after a certain time of innactivity? Does it always disconnect after the same time, so like 5 minutes? In this case it is probably turned on somewhere.

yah like its working fine .. but its wierd cause it was fine just last week, it just started this, and can't be the cable or the modem cause my lappy is working fine.... this is nuts... and the internet doesn't shut off.... cause i can still connect to mirc and sometimes if my msn transfer is going it won't stop but all internet browsers stop functioning... oddest thing
