Played the demo and it rocked, just the right balance between realistic mode and arcade, enough depth to give you a sense of realism yet not too much to keep you involved.
All in all looking good, can't wait to try campaign and MP.

Yes, FPS was pretty decent on the demo, I was pleasantly surprised, check the trailer link in the original post, it's game-play footage.

Yes it's more than 5 lolz, but sometimes there were noticeable slowdowns in the demo, nothing too serious.

I'm a big fan of realistic sims and I was pleasantly surprised just how well the developers integrated the game onto consoles.

Don't fool yourself, this is arcade not realism.

The only person fooling themselves is the person seeing something that's not there, such as me suggesting the game was a realistic sim [sniff]

To be fair though I suppose it will be somewhere in the middle. Much more realistic than, say Hawx, while nowhere near the original IL-2.

I just tried the 'simulator' mode, after using 'realistic' and 'arcade' and its very unforgiving.
You are limited to two view points: HUD and cockpit view.
I think the devs have ensured that the game is challenging even for the 'sim' crowd.

Played this tonight. Hadn't bothered with the demo so had no idea what to expect.

Kinda liking it. Story is shite as per usual but graphics are good but there are noticable drops in framerate. Only seems to occur if there is a lot of ground onscreen (i.e. nose diving and stalls).

Realistic is a bitch, planes handle like balloons in bad weather. Arcade for me I reckon.

Is it co-op missions or deathmatch?
I tend not to play deathmatch as it's awkward and creates bad feeling when people keep losing to me.
