oh fuck it, why not. i mean they're milking the series to death, why not finish it off so we can move on. t3 was unnecessary and stupid, t4 will be worse - though i dont doubt it'll stay true to the franchise in one way - having ground breaking visuals - but like t3, everything else will be neglected...

Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins... ugh... nuff said really... this is why i wish people who create shit could keep control over it... no way would james cameron have let it get this far if he could have kept control of it Sad i mean holy fuck sticks... its being directed by the guy who did the charlies angels films... how the FUCK does something this pathetic, happen? given how much i love the original two films, this literally sickens me.... especially when you read a bit about whats planned for the upcoming 'new' movies...

the skynet games on the pc waaaaaaay back were quite good, but we havent seen anything since thats been worthwhile...its such a fucking awesome franchise to base a game on... why the fuck cant those idiots get it right? they need to treat it like a game, not a cash cow, and THEN they might actually make something good...

Future Shock and Skynet was way ahead of its time when they got released. Great fps even with veicles you could drive and quite open-ended too. Skynet had fun multiplayer to, it was bad arse to hunt someone down with the hunterkiller. Very Happy

it was crap , The Terminator 2029 was the real gem here

Imagine Terminator with the depth of System Shock , it was the best Terminator game ever made, Future Shock and Skynet where only lame arcade shooters but this game was the real deal

We need a System Shock 3 that is more like System Shock 1 that is what we need.
And we need it STAT!

Damn i miss the old games... Some of them had so much more complexity crammed into them than what we see today. Seems like games are being more simplyfied with the whole console scene being the uberkiddie branch.. Jesus maybe im just getting too old for this crap

Terminator 3: The Redemption on PS2, Gamecube, and Xbox was actually really good. I liked it, anyways.

afsdälasläöfasö third person
why!?
the ONLY games i know that have benefited from a third person was ass creed and die by the sword
i simply don't get it why anyone in their right mind would do a shooter as one
even the bullets won't end up where you point, what the fuck?
automatically crushes any hope he game had

Yeah, the third person is good for adventures, close quoters fighting games, but not in shooters.. It's usable only if there are cover elements...

Thus it's gonna be like gears of war... Cover->shoot->go to next cover... repeat.. (and win the hearts of all the console players with this 'cool gameplay feature').
Add the Unreal engine for maximum crapiness, and voila- Terminator: Salvation Laughing

hope that i'm wrong and this will be the firs terminator game for the past 10 years that is not sucky...

Great, another generic "unreal powdered" console cash-in. And followed by a ridiculous PC port I'd guess.

It was the whole "Play the game, see the movie" part that I thought was hilarious. Cash-in extraordinaire.

Looks okay for a movie game. Most of them are terrible, so if it's even just decent it will be better than the rest! Looks cool, graphics are nice at least.

Indeed. It was so ahead of it's time it didn't appeal to the average gamer (sort of the same situation System Shock 2 ended up in: rave reviews, no sales). You had an open ended world, you could drive/fly vehicles, you fought terminators, entered buildings etc.. This was in 1995!!!!

They even put some comedy into the game:
Quote:
The mouse-look allows players to aim at and continually shoot the moon in the sky on the levels that take place outside. The game will display the word 'ow!' in red a few times, then the moon will fall from the sky.

is it really unreal engine?
grin have their own quite capable engine they used in the graw games
i'd expect them to use that
especially if they plan on building a large postapocalyptic world, as the level editor is really easy to create areas with
there's houndreds of fan missions for both graw games
