I just did the science-gender test, and was found to have a slightly greater association between males and science then females and science.

Primarily it reflects my conscious knowledge about great scientists throughout history, and how males make up the majority. This is not to say there isn't some implicit association, but it's not as significant a factor as the test designers would like to think. At least not in my case.

I suppose if it's only slightly greater its not really significant, is it?

I was a bit surprised with those "slightly greater" answers for myself too, actually.

Also, how relevant can these "implicit associations" be in our ways toward others?

P.S. I found these tests to be at least very interesting. They can probably be very useful too.

Took the gender science test. Had a strong association with males and science and females and liberal arts.

That definitely goes along with my reasoning/observations

What I meant was, in terms of my slight bias, it was conscious knowledge that was primarily responsible, rather then an implicit association.

I seriously doubt that a strong association is entirely conscious though, since this test isn't based on reasoning.

Interesting tests, although they only confirmed what I already thought true of myself and societal views. I was kinda hoping they'd prove me wrong!

As the order is randomized and the results show distinct bias, your explanation is not likely to be correct.
