Mother Russia Bleeds is an ultra-violent co-op brawler overflowing with an unmistakable style and unforgettably brutal action for up to four players at once. Set in an alternate U.S.S.R, the story centers on a desperate crew of imprisoned street fighters that must overcome an oppressive criminal authority and crippling drug addictions through any means necessary. Battle solo or alongside friends locally and online in an exceptional story mode campaign or harden your resolve in a multitude of formidable challenge and versus modes.
Merciless Struggle: Pull yourself up from the cold, hard ground to punch, claw, and stab your way through the most perverse elements of society from a wretched human testing laboratory to decadent S&M club.
Powerful Narcotics: Embrace your crippling addiction with a quick injection to crush skulls, snap necks, and tear flesh from bone in a drug-fueled maniacal rage. Find your next fix flowing through the veins of your fallen foes and jam your needle into their convulsing bodies to fill your beloved syringe.
Savage Game Modes: Bust skulls and break some jaws in a slew of intense gameplay modes including the classic arcade campaign, the brutal survival mode, and the soul-crushing boss rush mode.
Online Co-Op: Crack your knuckles and select a combatant to go it alone or rumble alongside friends in an ultraviolent co-op ruckus with up to four players online or locally.

In this politically-correct-infested world it always pleases me the sight of this sort of mini-renaissance when it comes to gory/splatter games. From Russia with love, bring it on!
Damn skippy! Sacred Citadel and Double Dragon Neon are, by far, the two greatest scrolling beat'em'ups I've played in a long... long... time. Then we have the smaller ones like Scott Pilgrim and Phantom Breaker
Takes me back a bit to the anime from the 80's to 90's with their colorful art and ultra violence.
(Probably some similar western based comics and movies too. )
This dropped in the Humble Monthly Bundle today! I've only played through the first couple levels so far but this seems to be everything I had hoped it was! I'm going to hold off until next weekend for a major session so I can co-op this with a buddy.
Quick pros:
Combat feels good
Music awesome
Artstyle
Negatives if they can even be called that:
lining up to attack enemies can be annoying/finicky
Enemy variation
-
Those two gripes are def common place for this type of game IMO.
PC: i7-4790k @ 4.4, 32GB @ 2400, Nvidia 1080TI FE, 2 TB Crucial MX500 SSD
Nintendo Switch SX OS Pro / PS4 Pro 5.05 Hen/Mira / PS3 Modded / Wii Modded / 360 Pre-Wave4 mod
This fucking game would be much more enjoyable and better paced if the player character would do double the damage to knocked down enemies. It would also make more sense...
