I've noticed that EA has bumped up advertising within Madden 2010 this morning. Now during every play I have a McDonald's banner above the score box. Damn it! When we pay 60$+ for a game we shouldn't have to be flooded with advertising. This is getting out of hand! What do you guys think?
it's not only EA. midnight club LA had gamestop and ebgames ads on buildings, bionic commando (the 360 version! ) had nvidia and wipeout hd had some as well, just to name 2 examples from companies otherwise considered to be "honorable".
it's a fucking disgrace, you're PAYING for ads. they could at least think about financing through ads as a way to combat piracy or something. like "get the game free/for half the price, but there's ads everywhere"
If it's done right I think in-game advertising can add to the experience to be honest. With EA I think they are taking the piss though - just look at all the DLC that came out on day one for Madden. It's a joke.

I agree with the discounted price part. I can deal with the brought to you by whoever from the announcers because that is how it happens in a real game. However, a huge distraction of seeing the golden arches and a fuckin' mccrispy chicken sandwich (see link) grinds my gears. This will be the last madden game I purchase if that nonsense doesn't get cut out.
