Hi all,
I've had nothing but good advice from this site so I'll try once more.

Having recently filled up my paltry 60Gb of hard drive space I decided to invest in a DVD burner (NEC 3500A) to free up a few gig for more dl's. However, when I tried to burn some files that were in WMA form (That 70's show, Coupling) I was given the message "no compatible file found".

When I tried another burn of data files (games) I was told that my DVD burner was not compatible because my version of Nero 6.0.0.16 (which is a copy from a friend) had been bundled with another burner. However, this particular copy of Nero has been installed on a number of other friends computers and, as far as I know, worked perfectly. I am currently dl'ing Nero 6.6.0.0 from SprNva because that is the latest version that will actually dl (3 different versions of 6.6.0.3 all show tracking errors) to see if this solves the problem.

I Googled but, suprisingly, found little information. I took a little heart from this because it suggests that it is not a universal problem but, rather, one of my own making.

If you can help me I will give your avatar a little kiss.

If you burn the files in data mode using latest Nero there shouldn't be any problems. The latest version is 6.6.0.3. And don't burn the audio files as an audio cd unless you really need the disc to be playable in a dvd player or something like that. Those files will take like 10x more space when burnt into audio cd (.CDA). And trust me, you don't wan't to kiss a combine Laughing .

Thanks Razor,

If I'd been a lot more thorough in my experiments with Nero I would have probably worked out that for myself.

I'm still curious to know why Nero won't burn WMA files if anyone knows.

P.S. I don't know what a Combine is, but it looked like it was angry at the world because it hadn't had enough love as a baby Combine, so I gave it a kiss AND a cuddle (picture that).

You need the WMA plugin over here: http://www.ahead.de/en/Plug_ins_WMA_Plug_in.html. Combines is a modified human rase with alien and mechanic features in Half life 2.
