ah, good old high school days.. reading these song names transported me some 12 years back. thanks for the insight into the minds of most posters from the music-arena!
and i agree with ya'all. the past was awesome. it was good to be there and i can't blame ya for still wanting to live there Wink

Split your lungs with blood and thunder when you see the white whale
Break your backs and crack your oars, men ! If you wish to prevail
This ivory leg is what propels me
Harpoons thrust in the sky
Aim directly for his crooked brow and look him straight in the eeeeye !
White whale
Holy grail
Evil or Very Mad

Ahem ... now seriously, I don't listen to music that often anymore. And by listen I mean dedication of time, a comfy chair, a few bottle of beers / fine ~18 years scotch whisky. Now it is mostly music in background - various ambient albums(Raison d'ĂȘtre, Lustmord, etc), shuffle of Nick Cave and Tom Waits songs that I don't care at all on how they are named.

Lake of Tears, Saturnus and Die Apokalyptischen Reiter are an exception, LoT being the biggest.
LoT - cause the old albums are very groovy And despite that they change with every album, they still stay LoT so to say Smile
Saturnus - very slow and melodic, suits as background music just fine
DAR - I clean flat while they are playing Very Happy Also listen to them while I am at the subway Smile

And on a rare occasion when I listen to music I go with mine all time favorites:
Agalloch
Anathema
Bathory
Cathedral
Empyrium
Esoteric
Evoken
Green Carnation
In the Woods
My Dying Bride
Skepticism
Tool
Unholy
Void of Silence
Winds
