I bought the first generation of this(WDTV) for both my parents and my step-parents but decided to wait to buy one myself as I read the next one would support ethernet.
For anyone who doesn't know what this is, its a media tank - A media player which you connect to your TV and it plays most formats like AVI and MKV.
