The game is only available on the Playstation Network. It costs €14.99/£11.99 in the EU. I assume it's cheap for the US people as well.

Here is another good link that gives a good overview of the game:
http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?message.uid=42525807#U42525807

I am going to buy it tonight, see if it's any good. I heard there's been a lot of connection issues because the devs didn't anticipate the overwhelming popularity the game had at launch. Supposedly they've made some adjustments to fix it already, and are working heavily on improving it even more. I haven't heard a single negative thing about the game so far, except for the lagging and connection issues people have been having.

The price is so cheap and it looks like my kind of game. Anyone else here bought it?

And oh, I searched for a thread on it, I thought there was one, cause I think I remember writing in one a long time ago, but maybe I didn't remember right.

*edit* Just bought it, will give impressions in an hour or so.

Having just spent £140 on iRacing I'm trying to curtail any gaming purchases so I'm waiting on this one. If the connection issues weren't a problem at launch I'd have snapped it up, but as it is I have an excuse to wait it out. Let us know your opinion when you get it though.

I bought it and it's great fun, but the connections issues were really bad for me.
north american version already got a patch to fix the connection issues yesterday or so and EU version will get the patch in a few days.

hopefully it'll be easier to get into a good game once that patch is out.

it is just a pure fun game, nothing complicated, just a great time

got it for free by game-sharing with another ps3 user (u can 'share' games other users have bought on psn)... done that twice now, the only kind of hack available for ps3

surprised sony havent patched it

Having the money to buy the ps3 is just half the work. You also need the money for the games.

Buying games is nothing new to me, I have a pretty hefty number of PC games that I bought. Besides, I won't be buying every new PS3 game at $60, I'll start with PSN games and older exclusives that are cheap.

I think what adds the most replayability is that the maps are so drastically different.
It appears the developers are dedicated to adding new content over time as well, so fat princess should be a nice multiplayer diversion for a long time.

I hope multiplayer is not dead by the time I buy a PS3 at the end of this year or early next year Wink

There's a demo for this available now so I thought I'd pick it up and finally give it a go. My first impressions were great, the whole vibe with the menu and the graphics and the general ambience was smile inducing... but then I decided to take it online and the game wouldn't have any of it... I've tried countless times now to connect to a single game and it just won't happen and worst of all I'm forced to sit through a short (but great) FMV explaining why I should buy the full game... I was ready to drop money on this, even with a sketchy online connectivity, but not a single game? Wow.

The singleplayer shows the potential for this, and it was a lot of fun, but yeah I can't really judge a multiplayer title if I can't actually play it in multiplayer Very Happy

Is it just me, or are you also having connectivity problems lately Yondaime?

Connecting can be real hit or miss and the worse is when you get on a team where a teammate is bombing your own castle gates non-stop... other than those 2 gripes, I really have fun with it.

I think it could be that the demo hasn't gone live, apparently they released it earlier than was originally intended. I'm hoping that's the case anyway. It would seem odd otherwise as no matter how many times I try I can't get into a game... I can't buy the game unless I can test it online though, so it's a catch 22!

Where is the demo?
I saw it a couple of days ago but now I cannot find it, I HATE the EU PSN system, the US layout is far superior.

ps: Yondaime: can you edit the Wet entry to show [R] please?

I didn't create that thread. hehe Smile

The demo being gone now, hopefully means there was something wrong with it, related to the problems expressed in this thread, so you can all try it at some other point. Smile

Blimus! I am losing it, I was sure you created the thread till I checked, sorry.
