Hi guys I grabbed a Dark Knight release 720p 7 gig and winrar says that every file is corrupt  What can I do with these par files to repair this big mess?

Simply install QuickPAR, associate it to PAR/PAR2 files and double click a PAR file that was downloaded along with the RAR files for your movie.
As long as there are sufficient PAR recovery blocks then you will be able to rebuild the damaged RARs.

Download more par files.

So the files are from the The.Dark.Knight.German.720p.BluRay.x264-DEFUSED release.

The bottom two posts, to a.b.bloaf and crossposted to a.b.hdtv.x264 / a.b.hdtv at 285 days are 100% complete. I'm guessing you've grabbed the files from the first incomplete post dated 124 days ago.
What news service are you using? If your service has more than 285 days retention, then just create an NZB using binsearch to re-download a couple of the most damaged files. Then place those into your movie folder, overwriting the damaged files and re-run QuickPAR and you should now have enough blocks to repair the RARs.

fuck you are right. might hoster should have up to 400 days retention. main problem is that 18 files are ok and 54 corrupt... can't I just download the working pars from the 254 days release?

try downloading a couple of the corrupted files and see if that doesn't lower the required amount of par files you need to repair the release.

Why not get the the.dark.knight.2008.dts.720p.bluray.x264-cinefile from 34 days? Or even better, The.Dark.Knight.2008.720p.BluRay.DTS.x264-ESiR from 86 days?
Not sure if I can post the nzb files.

wanted dual channel audio, so that I can watch it with english audio when I'm alone and with german audio when I'm watching it with friends :/
what ever, ditch this shit, I'll get a proper english audio only release and subtitles

ppl over here in germany are used to dubbing. I have to add, that the germans are pretty good at dubbing. But sure, original audio is better.

PA, you seems to be confused with PAR files.
PAR files don't repair files directly, they contain repair block which are used to rebuild corrupt files. So, it is not important what PAR files you download but how many blocks available PAR files provides.
For example:
qwerty.PAR2 - [ "Magic file", contains data on how to rebuild blocks ]
*.volAA+BB.PAR2 files contain blocks.
AA - total of blocks in all previous PAR2 files.
BB - number of blocks in this PAR2 file.
qwerty.vol00+01.PAR2
qwerty.vol01+02.PAR2
qwerty.vol03+04.PAR2
qwerty.vol07+08.PAR2 - [ 07 - Previous three files contain 7 blocks in total; 08 - This file contains 8 blocks ]
According to the screenshot you have posted, you have one damaged PAR2 file with 22 of 24 blocks available and a total of 87 spare blocks(51 + 38 - 2), in order to rebuilt all your corrupted files you are still missing 3 blocks as 90 blocks are needed. So you need one more PAR2 file.
Also you don't need to download all previous PAR2 files, you can combine them in any way you like.

ok I found another par file, but my provider has only 200 days retention, so that I can't download it Is there any other way to get these par files?
And do I only need the last par file or what?

With your current usenet provider there is no other way to get them.
QuickPAR shows you the needed amount of blocks, download the needed combination of par2 files, so the total number of blocks(number after + in filename) is equal or larger than needed amount. |

There is one way, ask someone else to download 1 or 2 of the .PAR files for you - then just upload to another site.
