indeed, maybe its something new from MS. Can't read the mail because I never use hotmail and you have to activate it and BS. So the mail is gone Sad

Any other "I-play-most-games-before-street-date" people here suspended? Very Happy I don't take much caution, so its my own fault. But maybe this means there wont be a ban wave 16th Nov. The 0 tolerance might be gone.

I will chill down for a while when im back on live... Sad

Hmmm, I'm in a bit of a predicament here. I was banned from live anyway 3 years ago so I played the borderlame version for about 10 minutes to try it out. Since then I've also played the English version and have unlocked some achievements for it. Now, I had a RROD 360 in my storeroom for years that was also flashed back before the first wave ban but died shortly after being modded and just got around to replacing the x-clamps the other day because I always assumed that it too would be banned from live.

Well now it works fine and guess what? It's not banned from live. So I've reflashed the firmware to 1.5 and I'm ready to go. The only problem is that I'm scared to plug my HDD from my banned xbox with my profile on it into it before the ODST release date incase it also gets banned so it seems that I need to wait until the 22nd before I get back on xbox live Mad

Seems like that they finally realized that people who pirate games still can buy DLC and therefore banning people just results in even greater losses.

I think that's pretty much why they only ever ban machines and not accounts, because they know that most people will go out and buy a new machine (profit!) and continue to buy DLC for their illegal games (double profit!)

The real reason for banning was cheating. Hackers found a way to cheat with a manipulated copy of Gears of War, that's when the banning started since MS charges for Xbox Live and therefore needs to keep it cheater-free.
Also sold console != profit since the X360 and the PS3 retailed at lower prices then their production cost or at least they did for the first few years. They could be profitable by now, but this move by MS shows that this is not their intention.

Basically, I played ODST on my banned 360. Now I'm afraid to connect the unbanned 360 with my profile incase the unbanned 360 gets zapped as I have the achievements on my gamertag even though I didn't play ODST on that machine.

I'm actually wondering if it would be wise for me to hold off on connecting my unbanned 360 to live until November just incase it does get banned again at the annual ban wave in a couple of months. But then again, life's too short to worry about that sort of thing.
