It's too potent for such a nerdy community. It's EVERYWHERE now. I'd say a good 60% of posts are infected, and the disease shows no signs of decreasing in strength. But that's not all. Apparently it decreases immunity against other vicious viral memes like the heart meme "<3", to the point where a respons to any slightly original post can, depending on poster, be predicted with a high degree of certainty to follow the following formula:
" <quote>yadda yadda (original post not containing cool face) blah meh</quote>

I've always thought that <3 stood for a sexual appreciation. I find it pretty ambiguous.
And as for the coolface, I completely agree with you; I've never used it and I won't do in the future: it's only a stupid way to denigrate serious users' opinions without proposing a constructive one.
