|
 |
My wife is absolutely nuts about Tower Defence titles (she loved "Plants vs Zombies" and also "Defence Grid: Awakening") so can anyone tell what the best Tower Defence games are, please? Preferably installable ones, as she's not overly keen on flash.
Thanks everyone!

Immortal Defense
Epsilon: Game is great btw, I love it, so far it's a definite goty. It's remarkable how much has changed since the beta, stardock have been working their asses off, and it shows.

I honestly don't know, but that's the way she likes it - I guess because she can run them fullscreen *all* the time (some flash games are in tiny little windows) and because they don't need net connections to work.
@Perdurab00:
Thanks!

you could teach her how to run flash games in fullscreen, which i always do. And she could even download the game so she wouldnt need net connectivity

Garden Defense is one I liked, too, even though the title's a bit lame.

This pretty much.
Though, you ought to just smack her for such poor taste in games. TD's blow!

If I think back to the games I played in the 1980s, they'd all be termed 'casual' games now. Eh, same kinda thing happened to the heavy metal I listened to. LOL

Defence grid is a fantastic recommendation, amazing game, other than the fact he said in his original post he's already got it.
Watching this thread with interest myself, loved Defence grid but have very little exposure other than that .
I have PvZ however it's not REALLY a tower defence game, far too basic, and I've pottered with desktop tower defense (flash only).
Would be interested in trying any others myself with production values even approaching Grid.

Lol. Had this very discussion the other day with some idiot saying all metal is the same.
Turns out he means all Thrash and it's sub genre's are similar because they have doom laden names, and everything else isn't metal.
