Playable only on cracked servers.
Otherwise, you have to buy it to play on the legit servers Wink

Review :

Nice part of the gore Very Happy :

Quote:
War is Hell

Gore in this game can be quite intense – to the delight or shock of some players. Bullet kills produce little or no blood – which is realistic, but when an HE shell from a tank or artillery strike lands on a squad's position players may see legless and armless bodies of their former squad-mates (or themselves) thrown 30 feet in the air, while blood spurts from their severed limbs. Red Orchestra: Ostfront uses Unreal's chillingly realistic "ragdoll" effect for death animations. Grenades may produce severed limbs with visible bones, or corpses covered with bloody splatches. If a player takes a direct hit from a tank gun or artillery shell it is not unusual to be completely disintegrated into reddish mist. Upon seeing this kind of graph

if you have the patience for a slow paced realistic ww2 shooter then I highly suggest you buy it.. tripwire could use the support.

Great game imo.

I bought it ages ago. It's, different but not. I don't like it.

I prefer Day of Defeat & World War II online. Red Orchestra just doesn't do it for me.

Yes. Copy the .cfg files located in your steam folder. Each game uses a cfg file or files. Install steam at home, copy the game's cfg file to the corresponding folder, restart steam and try to play the game. It will verify the cfg file and if there is something missing it will redownload it. Propably not though Smile

P.S: the file its ~1400 mbs

hmm... well... I think it was kind of boring, but quite challenging at the same time, prolly comes from all the years playing DoD. It's very anoying if you're stuck with just playing with a SMG and trying to hit people who's just a little bit away. So well... I think I'll play it this week and thats it.

although most people playing seems to be quite bad, I usually kill about 10 guys before someone manages to hit me Very Happy

Kind of off topic: A strange thing happened to me the other night. I updated my steam and DM:MM
and right afterwards i got a message thanking me for trying this game and stating that if i wanted to play anymore that i would have to purchase it. I never played or downloaded this game. Glitch or is it steam scanning files and making assumptions. At any rate, it is probably nothing but it weirded me out. Anyone else get this message?

It's a window pop up for every steam user. RO free 5 days ended and they poped a window to thank and ask for money.

Games on sale on steam for 5 dollars until the 9th of June. Such an awesome game, and at that price you really can't pass it up. Even the most hardcore pirates have 5 dollars to spare. Still plenty of populated servers as well, which are being bolstered by all the new people buying the game because of the sale.

I used to play DoD a lot before Valve ruined it, how does this compare with old school DoD? Version 2.0 and before.
