So I've had this boot disk error for a while now and thought it was just my old ide drive or something fucked up with windows (hadn't reinstalled for a while) and when I'd boot up I would have to keep a windows disk in my drive for it to boot or I'd get "boot disk error, please insert system disk blah blah blah"
Well, I ordered a new sata and I have windows 7 (64) now thinking that should all be gone and in the past.
nope. Just restarted and didn't have any disks in my drive and I got a boot disk error yet again.
So now im thinking it was never a HDD problem?

What are your boot priority settings ? Make your hard disk your main/first boot device !

well it happened again! Fucking pile of shit asus quality MB.
I unplugged all my sata's cause I wanted to see if I could route the cables behind the MB, well, plugged everything back in and of course! I get the fucking boot disk error again.
unplugged all HD's except OS and still does it, plugged it into sata 1, made sure it was the only thing in boot priority, still does it. It's NOT my HD, it's been doing it since I used IDE for my main OS, none of the drives has any jumpers on them either
with XP I would just leave the disk in the drive and it'd boot just fine. Would get ot press any button screen, I wouldn't press button then it'd skip and go to XP.
Not windows 7, no god fucking forbid it asks if I want to boot from cd or not. just goes straight to the fucking setup
