Hey guys I want to implement a song for a website (it's about folkloric dances) and which soundfile format should I use? Convert it to flash and implement it via embed? Or just convert it to some low bitrate wma and built it in?
The visitors will be 99,9% Windows users... from IE 6(20%) to IE 8 and maybe 20% firefox users.
The song is 5:18 in size and it should be able to turn the sound on and off.
Is there any way to achieve better sound quality @ lower kbps than mp3? I thought ACC is better but will the players and the client support this without special plugins?
And I want the song to play on every page without stopping when changing pages. I will have to place the page itself in a frame and the song in another frame right? Is there any other way?
well ogg and mp3 pro are better than mp3 at lower bitrates for sure, but you d have to find a player that supports those
and the solution with the frame is the best. Another way would be using a player that supports page-changes like xspf jukebox:

but you ll hear a clicking noise when switching usually. I d only recommend that, if you re using more than one song in a playlist and have concerns about using frames
Signature/Avatar nuking: none (can be changed in your profile)
