I'm having no luck. I don;t download much - but the last two titles have been password protected. Someone helped me out with n4s shift - now i have the reloaded version of OPeration flashpoint and it's asking me to take part in some shopping survey to get the password.

Does anyone know what the password is?

many thanks.

what's the filename?

Hi mate

The files are the same Rld-ofdr.

The only differnce both times is that files come in 100 meg packets not 50. Sadly i didin't check this until it asked me for the password. I thought the Need for speed thing would be an unlucky one off.

I download from usenet and have for years without this crap.

BTW the files Ii grabbed are in .games. I'm surprised i appear to be the only one who was caught?

Damn frustrating.

THe survey doesn't even give me the pass..screwed.

Anyone have any luck with it?

Thanks for trying to help mate, unfortunately that diidn;t work. And to add insult to injury it waits until it has extracted 99% of the file before telling you, so i have to wait 15 minutes on each try.

The pass for Shift was "nfs" so i imagine it'll be something to do with the game.

Thanks again

11 hours.. You could have downloaded it again from a reliable source by now very easily.

Yeah i can of course but
A) I'm in no hurry
B) I pay $15 a month for 20 gig on easynews- so why waste the 4 gig download
C) I pay my ISP $70 a month for only 20 gig - again why waste it.

I am hoping someone might be able to help - if they can;t after a few days then i'll take your advice. Thanks for it.

try (including http:// combinations)

www.Usenet2day.cc
LibraNews.eu

or try 'opfla' 'of' 'opfladr' 'dragonrising' 'operationflashpoint'

link to survey, do you use adblockers?

even if you had no problems before, times are changing... check the first or last rar from a group (just need like 1mb from it only), when it's safe, continue with the whole series

Cheers mate. I'll give that a go. I have tried on 2 PCs with no luck, one has Norton which is nightmare, the other doesn't. But my main computer is a mac - so i'll try it on that.

Again i appreciate you taking the time to try to help.

I'll let you know if i have any luck.

Or you just download an archive that is NOT password protected because seriously, you can keep guessing for years...

I just spent 30 minutes doing that F%%%$^ing survey and it's crap. Not completed...no password!!!!

The only pleasure was giving my next door neighbor's details on 30 or so surveys...that'll keep him busy and out of my hair for awhile.

Someone asked ...the link is....

http://vid1.us/2009/10/yeah/

BAstards.

I'll try a few times to guess and then just get the game again.

Kosmiq i would..but they have repacked it into 55 100 meg files ( or so)...when you extract those you get the game in one big rar file...that is password protected.

Thanks for those who tried to help Smile

$15 for 20 gigs is A LOT Shocked Take a look at Astraweb [ http://www.news.astraweb.com/plans.html ]

Their "Pay-by-Download" plans don't expire ala unused bandwidth carries over to the next month.
Due to "* A Gigabyte is defined as 1,000,000,000 bytes" remark
$10 gets you ~23 gigs
$25 gets you ~168 gigs

Hey mate

Sorry i wasn''t clear - Easynews is $10 a month for 22 gig...i'm in Ausstralia, so it ends up being around $15 with our weaker dollar.

Thanks for the advice though.

Grr..now i'm in the same boat. It's with MW2 this time instead of OPDR..but still..Why do folks pw protect files like this? Such crap. I've noticed it a lot more downloading TV episodes off usenet. Those are annoying since it's usually 200-400 megs..but this is 12 gigs..If anyone has the password, i'd appreciate it. http://mediapopscorn.com/2009/11/survey-9-11/ Is the link it shoots to.
