One industrious modder out there has created a simple program so you can use your PS3’s SIXAXIS controller on a PC like a game pad. Here’s what you’ll need to do:
1. Download this archive and install the filter driver (libusb-win32-filter-bin-0.1.10.1.exe).
2. Unpack ps3sixaxis_en.exe
3. Plug the SIXAXIS into your PC.
4. Run ps3sixaxis_en.exe once.
5. Push the PS button on the SIXAXIS once if it doesn’t see it straight away.
Unfortunately, the motion sensing features aren’t possible on the PC (not yet as least). But still, this is pretty easy way to net yourself a free usable game pad.

For the Bluetooth capabilities you still need those drivers posted above but also these;
* Bluetooth dongle! duh!
* PS3 Controller (Sixaxis or Dualshock 3)!
- Then, download these files:
* Libusb32 drivers (USB address finder thye must be installed in Winxp sp2/3 Compatibility mode with Administrative rights) Link

* Microsoft Visual C++ Library (when you get Application error for BtSix): Link

Yeah, already tried the PS3 controller on my PC, but it isn't supported very well. I managed to play Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X with it and Overlord II. The rest of the game i played, didn't work with it.
i just dont get why anyone would use a ps3 one on pc, when the 360 one does everything ud ever need it to plus its made to be compatible with ms os's....
You don't have a 360, you don't want to spend £30 on a controller, you prefer the dualshock... or just plain curiosity. I personally use my PS2 pads with an adapter, since they don't get used for anything else anymore.

Are you high ??
Maybe they own a PS3 and not a 360 ???
I don't have a 360 or a PS3, but I have a 360 gamepad. No fucking around and most games support it out of the box.
I do like the D pad better on the PS pads though as the fucking 360 one is molded together and sucks for games like Street Fighter where I hate using any form of a joystick.
Of course it should forgo Cell processor. The x86 instruction set (with extensions) is more than enough for gaming. Cell might have been a nice (but very short term) marketing gimmick, but the difficulty of development speaks for itself.
Heh, as I said, I've tried it, multuiple times now. It just won't work. The MotionJoy app won't see it as connected.
There is no support for 64bit as of yet. And save yourselves some time and don't paste a link to this website offering 64bit support - it's bullcrap that doesn't work and it can fuck your usb ports badly.
Of course there is support for 64bit and they worked for me (Win 7 x64). Cant help you though, SiN, as those were the drivers that worked as far as I can rememer
Mmmmmmmh, has anyone tried to play Dead Space 2 with a PS3 controller on Win7 64x?
I don't have a PS3 anymore, cus it broke after about 1 1/2 years ( had the 40GB PS3 with GTA 4) and Sony wouldn't repair it (Sony = 1 year warranty in germany)...yea, well... I still have my white dual shock 3 controller from japaaaan. I could make use of that somehow...
