I just downloaded Cod: UO, unrarred it, mounted it and tried to install it. CD-key check and installation to 100% went fine, but after I change from CD 2 back to CD 1 it just quits the whole thing and no files were installed. This was Money's version and I've had the same problem with Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude (also Money's). Please help.
1. Yes It's a known SP2+Installshield problem which I had too. Just look at all the complains on the official game forums. This problem also exists with "Warhammer 40: Dawn of war" and "Rome total war". As the developers don't seem to be able to fix this problem I just wiped out XP and reinstalled with a clean XP SP2 slipstreamed cd. I recommend you to that too as it fixed the problem.
As far as i know this is due to the protection i thougth...
I used a old version of Deamon Tools but that one did the same for me for The Sims 2...
I updated Deamon Tools... (version 3.47) and mounted the image...
Then.. the problem was solved...
