Valkyria Chronicles 4 takes place in the same timeframe as the original Valkyria Chronicles, but with an all-new story focusing on Squad E of the Federation. Commander Claude Wallace and his childhood friends set out to fight in a desperate war, but bone-chilling blizzards, waves of imperial soldiers, and the godlike powers of the Valkyria stand between them and victory.
The BLiTZ Battle System and the CANVAS Graphic Engine return!

A Coming-of-Age Story in a Time of War
Take command of the determined, young Commander Claude Wallace, engineer/heavy weapons extraordinaire Riley Miller, hot-headed Darcsen Raz, ice-cold ace sniper Kai Schulen, and more. Together, they will experience the painful realities of war — but will the bonds of Squad E's friendships survive the frozen battlefield?
The Next Generation ""BLiTZ"" Battle System
Part overhead turn-based strategy, part RPG, and part real-time 3rd person shooter, the "BLiTZ" battle system returns to the field. New features include an explosive new class called the Grenadier, numerous offensive/defensive battleship support options, chances for a unit to have a "Last Stand" action before death, and more. Plus, fight the imperial threat with more units on larger-scale maps than ever before.
CANVAS Aesthetics
The series' signature hand-drawn visual style is back and overhauled for the newest generation. Inspired by watercolour compositions, the CANVAS Graphics Engine blends visual elements of reality and imagination to create an expressive world filled with colourful emotions. Watch the journey of Squad E unfold like an interactive painting!
The Return of a Legendary Composer
The illustrious Hitoshi Sakimoto, original composer of the Valkyria Chronicles series and countless other emotional epics, returns to provide a sweeping orchestral score for the game.
Optimised for PC
4K resolutions, customisable keyboard and mouse controls, even ultra- widescreen support. Also includes achievements and Steam trading cards.
3 was not half bad but still a psp game and it shows it's almost impossible to just port 2 and 3 they would have to be remade from ground up to be even remotely acceptable for pc/consoles.
Report for duty soldiers! Our mission begins Sept. 25! Starting today, pre-order the #ValkyriaChronicles4 launch edition and receive a controller skin featuring the adorable medic dog, Ragnarok! Coming soon to PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC!
I didn't see any black, tri-sexual, trans-genital hermaphroditic peeps in that video!?!
Off to the SJW forums I goes!!!
They're in there. You just wouldn't know they were actually tri-genital (that's a penis that has a vagina and an anus) unless you read the lore (I mean hentai mangoes)
Well it's better than the Valkyria Revolution design at least heh.
EDIT: Would be nice to see updates or just ports of the other two games in the main series too but I guess that's not on the plans anytime soon, third one seems to have a unique little crew of characters.
LOL! That video is further proof of how much of a re skin of VC1 this game is. Shame that they went for such a lazy option instead of actually taking the good parts from VC2-3 and fusing it all into something new

Sega has unveiled the post-launch roadmap for Valkyria Chronicles 4, revealing that new content will be made available from launch through to the end of 2018.
The support will begin on launch day with free tank decals being made available, while Switch owners will also be able to download a Japanese voice pack, which comes as part of the initial package on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Following that, two extra packs will be available each month.
October 9 and 23 will bring the ‘Squad E, to the Beach!’ expansion and a ‘Captainless Squad’ mission, respectively. The latter of these add-ons will be available at launch for anyone who preorders the game for free. Otherwise, it will cost USD$4.99, while the beach mission will retail for $6.99
The Expert Level Skirmishes pack will release November 4 for $4.99, while November 20 brings the ‘Two Valkyria’ mission for the same price.
Meanwhile, December offers the wide launch of two pieces of content that will otherwise be exclusive to the Memoirs of Battle Premium Edition of the game. Those packs will be ‘Edy’s Advance Ops’ mission on December 4 and ‘A United Front with Squad 7’, which brings back the heroes from the original Valkyria Chronicles, on December 18. These two add-ons will cost $3.99 and $5.99 respectively.
