I didn't struggle when I played it around release (in the EU). They should also be releasing some new content that is multiplayer centric so that should increase player shares across regions for at least a short while - but I mean, it's 99.5% a singleplayer game so it's not strictly 'dead' it's just not a multiplayer game. They should have focused more on the co-op flavoured content.

They are actually going to release maps and skins adapted from Uncharted 1 due on 25th February, and a co-op mode with new maps and skins on 15th April.
