Hello everybody. I have previously bought keys from G2play, but for some unknown reason I haven't been able to access the site for more than a week. I haven't changed anything in router or other stuff (Infact I haven't changed anything on my pc a long time.
So I'm wondering why I can' get on the site anymore.

A couple of days ago, I tried with hidemyass as a proxy and got on to the site but everything was running pretty slowly, but today I can't get access with hidemyass or without.

I have a hard time believing that it's my isp that suddenly decides to block an online store.

Hmm, I just get an error loading page after 20 seconds with firefox and Iexplorer.

btw. If they have blocked my IP I don't get it because I haven't had any dealings with the site for several months, so why would they block me?

Ok, I'm pretty sure you are Danish, if I'm right then that might be the problem as I'm also in Denmark.

But why block Danish Ip's? Is it because of the Mohammed Cartoons? Very Happy

Ok, but I understood that you can at least get on the site (slow). Me and that other danish guy can't get on it at all.
But maybe I misunderstood you...

No, I got Telmore, but they are owned by TDC so it's probably the same network.

Site works fine here a tad slower than normal but that may be do to site traffic because of MW2 and L4D2.

Slow browsing on their website lately, indeed. Logged in as I am pondering about getting MW2 from them. Their price, compared to Steam one, is a blast.

My "customer" experience with them was mainly positive. Using the term "mainly" as sometimes I had to email them and whine about why I didn't recieve my Key(s). But I always got them in less than 30 mins.

Very good prices, akward but mainly (so far) safe delivery of products (keys).

But this is just MY experience. No idea if this is luck or reality.

I also have positive experiences with G2play, until I became unable to access the site (Luckily I have not purchased anything recently), I think it maybe 1 or 2 man operation and that's why they have to be "reminded" of their obligations now and then (Happy amateurs that have found a hole to exploit in the laws i think)

wouldn't be anything related to your IP alone but your service provider giving the region your in etc.

My friend also has this problem. He used to be able to access it, now he can't. If he uses a proxy it works perfect, but the moment he turns it off he's unable to visit it. He tried asking them if they've done any ip blocking, or if they've blocked any ip ranges, but they said no on both occasions. He couldn't be bothered to check with his ISP since he only wanted MW2 from them and he just ordered it at my place instead.

So check with your ISP guys.

For the record, my friend is Swedish.

Well, now I can't even get on the site through hidemyass.com proxy. Do know of an alternate proxy site I might try?

About contacting my isp, can I just call them and ask? I don't want my isp to suspect me of doing illegal stuff so...

About your swedish friend I can tell you that I have met 1 other dane who can't get on, but now there is also a German who can't so I can't seem to figure out the system behind this (if there even is such a thing)

But even if I find a proxy that will take me to the site, won't I have problems with payment? And won't very unsecure for me if I'm able to pay via proxy?

Illegal...oh wow Laughing

Email help@ispname.blah (replace with real address) or you could CALL THEM and say I'm having trouble accessing this site can you look into it for me. I don't use the site at all but sometimes I've noticed it does seem to go down. I presume the issue revolves around their back end transit. Alternatively why not just use a VPN?

Well, I'm not that knowledgeable about VPN so I'm cautious Smile But thx for the quick answer. Smile

Never trust a public proxy dude. You don't know if they don't log everything that moves right through their servers.

Quick thing. Ordered a key last night. L4D2 uncut steam version for 18€ (which is cheaper than steam and it's uncut) but that's not the point.
Today I get a mail in which they ask me to send them a color-copy of my ID or driver's license.
WTF?
I've read some stuff about g2play getting more and more shady but seriously? What would they need that for? (seeing as I've paid through PayPal - which in turn got a registered adress and bank account).
They tell me it's because they had some frauds but wtf?
I'm seriously thinking about telling them to fuck off and give me my money back.
