/me wonders why this game has not its own thread yet?

anyway, a new movie and screenshots have been released:

http://www.3dgamers.com/games/pirates/#filelist

This is my most wanted game for this year, the graphics look nice,
and the gameplay of the original Pirates on C64 was really entertaining, one of my all time favorites. But seeing the movies and the screens, i doubt they actually enhanced the gameplay, i hope i won't be just a graphics update like doom3 Wink

me too!
The original Pirates! was a very good game, I played it years after it was out.
I hope that the new Pirates! will have all the original quirks and atmosphere.

Haha yea, it looks awesome!

Only problem I have is that another developers name is on it! This is starting to piss me right off.

i saw it running at the games convention and it looked decent. Dunno if it ll capture the same atmosphere the first one did, but graphically it looked like a worthy sequel.

but xbox version isnt done yet , pc version comes out first.
don't think this is a port, rather a simultaneous development.
Besides Ign gave it 9.2 and "Editors choice" and wrote it was too good to let go off when you started playing it.

Yeah, and I also have news of a review made by a Dutch magazine: 86%. Anyway, the original Pirates! was ported to NES, and Pirates! Gold was ported to the Sega Genesis, so what's wrong if this one is ported to the XBox?

Nothing, along as the PC version comes out first. PCs are, and they'll always be the ultimate gaming platform! Very Happy
